What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Not to worry my friend, the great God of Sharpness has smiled on me enough recently :) - still, love the picture!

Ha! That's great! God of Sharpness! Glad to hear that you have found favor with the Great One; I aspire to be a communicant in good standing in this august house of worship! Thanks for the kind words about the pic; it does not rain often in Southern California--I moved quick to take advantage of the scene and light.

Day 2
gK0HpFa.jpg

I really wish I hand put a coat of varnish on it last night. Today I was carrying it in my pocket with misc. metal tools, and it got a few scuffs. I guess I'll have to stain it again for the fourth time and hope the scuffs cover. Then I will just have to baby it tomorrow in hopes that I don't scuff it again.

I love that knife more and more everytime I see it bluemetalchurch. I recently gave my orange jr. to a cousin who just started college and is knifeless. I figured it would be a nice introductery knife, and it wouldn't be very scarey if he whipped it out on campus. It's about time I try out the full size. The jr. was just a tad bit smaller than what I like to carrey.

Decided I'd give one of these a try.

And, what do you think? I'd imagine that for no-frills functionality, it would be hard to beat...?

(The Parakeet in me [Squawk! Pretties!] would lack for nourishment, but I understand the advantages of a knife one does not have to worry about.)

Does the Zytel (also) make for a lighter knife, as compared to bone or delrin?

Just loving this new little one...

Why, of course you are-- that's a Best In Class®, right there. :)

Pertinux, the jury is still out. I had the same idea when I saw it but the overall feel doesn't inspire that sort of confidence. Maybe I'll try my hand at a review once I've put it through its paces.

Sorry, I don't understand--is that an official ranking or title for us here? Sorry, sometimes these things slip by me! Thanks for the info in advance!

Hey Aias, not sure if you were asking about my post. If you were it must have been "pertinux". I don't know how to quote someone else or respond directly yet so I put their name in front of my post.

Aias, "Best in Class" is simply my own designation.

Out of the WLSTs (Weird Little Stubby Things) I so adore-- GEC's #25s-- the horsecut antique bone is a standout. Even more, I consider this bone to be a standout among all the covers I've seen on a pocketknife, GEC or otherwise.

So, putting it together, the best bone on a best pattern? "Best in Class." :-)

JW85, to quote someone else's post, simply click the "Reply With Quote" link at the bottom of the post you'd like to quote. I clicked this box to reply to you (circled in blue):

When you click that link, you are presented with a text box pre-filled with the quoted post to which you would like to respond, already formatted. Simply type your response below it, and you're good to go.

Quoting multiple people in one response is a little more involved. Click the little "quotation box+" symbol (circled in red above) at the bottom right of each post you'd like to respond to. After selecting those posts, click either "Reply with Quote" on the last post you'd like to include, or "Reply to Thread" at the very bottom of the page in question. This will once again result in a text box pre-filled with the posts you'd like to include in your response.

For now, start with "Reply with Quote," and see how it goes!

I hope this helps.

Meanwhile:

"The overall feel doesn't inspire that sort of confidence"-- interesting description. Lacking that, I think I'll pass, as I have all along. Still, I look forward to your further review. Thanks.

Thanks for the help friend. Complete with pictures and all! I'm often using tapatalk and my cellphone but I'll file that info away for later use.
