What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks a lot Ron, I've found it difficult to capture the deep blackness of the ebony as it tends to reflect the light :)

That is a beautifully built knife, Jack.

I am relegated to carrying my alox cadet today... Tomorrow is a 71 in 01.

Very nice mini hollow form, Curtis! You need to show some more of your turnings here.

And I know what you mean about the #77 Barlow. It's hard to put down.

addylo,

Wow you've posted some amazing turnings. I really like your tulipwood hollow form. I was unaware of The Workshop: Projects, Tools, Techniques & Ideas forum! I need to get out more.

I was originally bit concerned about the size of the 77 double blade. I thought it might be a bit large for an EDC. In practice it is easily carried in the watch pocket.

Much appreciate the kind words! I haven't turned in quite a long time but it was a passion for a number of years.

Back on topic, I was very pleased at the size of the 77. I like that it is a hair larger than the #15.

Very nice knife from Evan - what is the wood type Mark?:thumbup::confused:

I'm not really totin' a knife yet today but I will be later when I go out to run some errands.

Been awhile since I've posted in this thread. Nothing unusual today. This Ken Coats custom is almost always in my pocket.

Been giving my Alsdorf knives some attention lately too.

With the rain here today I'm in for the duration watching the NFL playoffs on TV. Carrying my Radio in case I want a beer or two!

I got this old Camillus camper in a lot of "parts" knives I purchased on eBay. It had badly deteriorated celluloid handles and a bit of rust, and simply begged to be nurtured back to health. I replaced the celluloid with some nice Osage Orange scales and polished everything, leaving the patina on the old blades. I am carrying this today, although I do not usually carry this style, but the knife blades take an amazingly wicked razor sharp edge, and I just love that. I am not sure why, but the older steel knives I have seem to take an edge better than anything that came later.

Really nice job on the Camillus!

Always great to see that lovely, Sam

Smokin hot Radio, Jeff

More demo for me today. Carrying the two Paul sent to me for inspiration. Sorry for the old pic

Nice resto on the scout, dma. Is it possible that the older blades get work hardened in such a way that they don't form wire edges?
My old SW #890 stockman even has chipped edges and it takes the finest edge of any knife I've got.
