What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love Makesharp's scout. I'll have to start watching the exchange for one.

Carrying my autumn gold bone SF today. Much easier to open compared to the tan clip.

Kris - Holy cow, that Lloyd is out of this world! Looks like you stepped into a time machine, to go find that one in 1800s London.
link2derek - Really like that one. Nomad, you say? I hadn't seen that one yet (guess I haven't been keeping up with BRKT's new releases in quite some time). Nice lines, very classy. Is it convex ground? Looks like a great slicer, yet still very strong. Making me want one!

Ok... what a great day to carry a knife. Traded in what I was carrying for these at lunch after checking the mail!!!!
Blessed.

Thanks Todd . its made by A weight & son of Sheffield . and it has a lambsfoot blade in 01 .:)

That's Arthur Wright & Son ;)

You have amassed quite the collection, my friend. It the alphabet thread...I'm seeing some for the first time.

The old Eastern does have one snapped blade ...but I really like the old gal:D

That's just a small part of it my friend, I need to have a clear-out! :D

Sorry to hear about the snapped blade, but still a great knife my friend :)

That was a great post Paul!

Yes it was :)

Kris, that is one very attractive swayback :)

+1  Nice Snap-on set too ;)

It's more fully called the Nomad Hunter, and it is a fairly new model. Here are the specs:

Overall length:7.9 Inches
Blade Length:3.775 Inches
Blade Steel: A-2 @ 58-60rc
Blade Thickness: .187 Inch
Weight: 4.125 Ounces

Very cool knife - notice, though, that it uses got a very thick (about 5mm) blade stock. I'd prefer something closer to 1/8 inch (3-3.5mm) for better slicing and food prep. Other than that, it's a sweet little knife. Derrick at KnivesShipFree (an excellent BF dealer) has 'em in stock if you wanna check 'em out.

Well the hype is still in full flow and 15's are still top of the pecking order here in the trad forum at the minute.

I had two - a single sheepfoot TC which I sold to someone who really wanted it, and a Diamond jack which I gave away because I really didn't like the spear blade; and I haven't been sold on the boy's knife pattern I must admit.

After the birth of my son I decided to get another and give it another try:

... but why I hear you ask?...

... because of this:

here in the UK a six digit date goes Day Month Year. This was the day Rory was born.

So I'll carry this today and see whether or not we get on, if we don't I'll save it for Rory but if we do I'll have to source another for him.

:)
Paul

3rd time's a charm!:thumbup::)

Paul - That is a great story, congratulations again on the birth of your son, Rory

coolio - What's not to love with Walnut Sheepfoot TC

My 66 Cocobolo is my pocket today.

Brett - That is some beautiful wood today

The Lambsfoot stayed in my pocket, but I decided to pair it with a Norfolk today. A bit of ebony & ivory.

Todd - That is a great pair to carry together, they compliment one another

Today I have been checking out this Old Tan Sheepfoot around the house. Watching it snow here in SE Tennessee :)

I'm still a little stunned at Paul admitting he hasn't cared for the #15. And sold his only TC Barlow! A single sheepfoot! This is almost like saying you don't care for GEC knives. The next thing you know, Paul will admit that he puts a pocket clip on his WLST! Oh, well. More 15s for me!

I almost always have a 15 in one pocket. But in my other pocket today:

You're clearing out some knives? Well, anything I can do to help you make room for new acquisitions. :D

Speaking of, here's my newest. A new knife, but an old design:
