It's going on a week straight now. I didn't foresee changing that, but these dern Douk-Douk pictures keep popping up. They make me want to dig mine out.

Although, I suppose the two knives aren't necessarily mutually exclusive though.

Forget the douk douk.......

Just picked up a new one today, a 1956-58 Boker (Geo Schrade) Wire Jack in Really good condition. That will be my carry for tomorrow. Part of the factory edge is still showing. This is the rarer of the two types made, only difference between them being this has a larger stamped "Boker" tang stamp and the more common is an etched Boker tang mark. This still has the majority of the factory red paint and Very few and far between flecks of rust peeking through the red.

This was made between 1956-58 when George Schrade sold his company to Boker. The brother of the guy who opened the Current Schrade, George opened "GEO Schrade" after a fight between the two. He closed up shop in '56 and sold to Boker who then closed up the branch in '58.

Nice #15 Nick I got my two blade a couple of days ago and LOVE the Gabon Ebony!!! I remember when the TC's first came out with Gabon Ebony and Sarah commented on the unique feel of the wood---honestly unlike any other:thumbup:

She mentioned "oiler" but not oily, something to that effect, she was right:cool:

Thanks Paul!Yes the Gabon ebony is awesome, really black and has a grainy texture to it. It had some slightly lighter streaks which turned black after a coat of camellia oil. I only have this one traditional knife with me for the next 3 weeks as I'm out of the country, have my small regular sebenza with me but haven't used it at all. So, I won't be posting pics daily of the same knife to bore you guys. This 15 has been used quite a bit, dropped a few times and sharpened a couple times on the bottom of a plate since I don't have my rods with me. I drop it in my pocket with keys and coins and the dings and scratches are adding quite a bit of character. I like!
