Some wonderful knives being carried today, and a few that really caught my eye...
Ron - eye candy indeed. That one is a real looker.
I'm carrying something new and quite special as it was a surprise gift from my good friend Primble. I've been intrigued by these Lon Humphrey Whitetails, and had reached out to Primble a couple nights ago to ask him how he was liking his. I was quite surprised to read his reply the next morning when he instructed me to be looking in the mail for a surprise. That same afternoon, this one showed up in my mailbox. On top of being a connoisseur of fine traditional knives and a masterful photographer, Primble is also a terrific and generous friend; and as I learned yesterday, apparently also a clairvoyant.![]()
I've had it in its sheath in my pocket since it arrived yesterday afternoon and am really quite taken with it. It's a terrific carry and I hardly even notice it or the sheath in my pocket. My photo doesn't do it justice, but Primble obviously knows of my affinity for ebony, and the ebony scales on this one are outstanding I'm my opinion. Thanks again, Primble!

When I first saw this picture (such a great shot!), I took the liberty of upping the exposure a little bit, so I could see your pretties better. Then, the moment passed (this thread streams by fast). Here you are again, and here's my edit:
Still accurate?
There is a tremendous variety of great knives out there, but in so many ways it simply doesn't get better than this Swayback Jack, its heft and proportions, the CV steel, Bose's inimitable touch-- all in an accessible production knife.

Thanks Tim, Paul, Drew, & Curtis. I appreciate it guys.
It's good to see some canines posted with some great cutlery instead of cats for a change.
I may have to get Zoe, my dog, in on this.![]()
This beauty. It just arrived today, and I can't say with certainty because I haven't carried it more than a couple hours, BUT this might just turn out to be my most attractive and coveted Traditional.

Congrats, Jake; that is a spectacular knife!!...Meet my new 3.5" of pure Erickson excellence!!

Brett, thanks for sharing a little bit of the story of your "grandfather-in-law". Sounds like you admired him a lot, and to have the honor of getting his knives is awesome!!...My mother in law just called me and wants me to have her dad's handful. I have to admit, I was really taken back by that and didn't realize how much that would mean to me.
...
Whenever I see photos of your little Case, I think to myself, "There's Pete's perfect peanut." What a classic!!...
Pete
Gotta congratulate you again on the iconic ivory, David!!

Alright, Shane!! The Moose is back on the job!! YES!
Here are a couple of more knives I've been totin' this week: a Boker electrician I recently received from Markesharp, and a little Chinese Buck 373 stockman (on the left, of course, in the photo below) that I bought a year ago February. It was the first knife I'd purchased in over 50 years!

Rachel that shot is awesome! Love the light and especially that wood (floor?)! The knife and that wood tell a story and are feeled with character.
David's killing it with the ivory again...do you have a Damascus bladed and ivory handled knife?? Best of both worlds for you bud!
