Thanks for all the nice comments relating to my ebony #73L friends.

I used fine wood and metal files to radius the ebony covers to match the curve of the bolsters and blend the transitions. The metal file then rounded the spine of the knife. Finished off with grades of sandpaper then wet and dry, running up to 1000 grit.

Pleased with the result:)

Sam

Mark- good to have you back, stunning Beer Scout that'll only improve:)

Mark, the bone on that Chestnut Beer Scout is awesome!

Bob, that Fremont is a gorgeous shade of blue. You hit a homerun when you got that one!

I'm carrying this TC Barlow in evergreen. This has become one of my new favorites - love the blade, the jigging and color on the bone, the fit and finish. It just hits all my buttons!

Thanks Dave and Dean.
Nice choice Dean. I picked up the Evergreen Pick Bone as well.

I really, really like the Evergreen TC Dean and Mike (and Bob):D

Very nice Case stockman Micky Holmes:thumbup:

I had to carry this 33 conductor before my wife claims it as hers. She doesn't like green but does like this one.

I haven't given this thread the attention it deserves since Thursday night; I think Primble's revelation in the first post below put me into a state of shock for awhile! As a result, I had a huge backlog of wonderful knives to survey. Here are some reactions to a few of the ones that especially caught my attention for some reason. I hope folks remember what I'm referring to, since some of the posts go back to Thursday night and I've stripped out the photos!

...Swayback in CV and Chestnut looks great GT ! ;)

I am ashamed to report that I failed to carry a knife today. :o:o:o
Thanks, Primble. I agree with your assessment of Case CV and chestnut bone. I have a Sodbuster Jr like that (see end of this post), and a CV chestnut sowbelly is high on my "buy it soon" list.

Ron - the viper/cadet combo is great! I went with this combo at work today
...
That's a delightful dark duo, Shawn!

...I packed up all my knives yesterday getting ready to move... all the rest are packed up in a box and in storage😢
Man, Ryan, I'm sure you could have found temporary foster homes for your knives until you get "settled". :D

Thanks for the info GT, I think they look just fine, ditto the pile side of your Kudeman
...Earl will be with me again today
...
...
Me and Earl are heading out for a hike today, have a great day everyone
...
Thanks, Jack. Glad to see you and EARL are still peacefully coexisting; I hope to catch up on his thread later this afternoon!

Lovely little S&M Great "Fob Pocket" knife at 2 3/4 long
...
Derek
That is an incredible "peanut", Derek!:thumbup: Magnificent stag on that little guy!

GT Thanks for the Tortoise appreciation

The knife is one of GEC's best patterns in my view, the 33 Conductor: Smooth Bone, Jigged, Stag, Wood,Acrylic and in carbon and acorn shield stainless.

Regards, Will
Thanks for the identification, Will!

...Here's some John Lloyd magic. I love these Catalin covers!
...
Mark, that is fabulous! Looks like it's on fire.
Thanks Bob. You're right about the fire, you should see these in person out in the sun! Diamonds got nothin' on this stuff! (My Wife might not agree).
Those covers are dynamic, clutch; when I saw your photos, I had exactly the reaction Bob had!:cool:

This old diamond in the rough
...
Simply magnificent, Gev!! :eek::thumbup:

...
Just got this one in the mail today. Love the 66 pattern and I'm becoming a huge fan of stag. Nicely figured and it barely adds any width to the slim. Exactly what I wanted!
...
Congrats, Jake; I'd be a huge fan of THAT stunning stag, for sure!!:p

The 10th of July is a special day for me. Five years ago today I married the most amazing woman and I love her even more so today. I would not be near the man I am without her and I am thankful for my two beautiful girls that we have together. She is my lobster (if you have ever watched the tv show friends you may know why the pet name.)

Yesterday, she surprised me with the red stag 72 that was released the day before our wedding five years ago. I have had my eye out for one for over a year. I have talked about it enough that she knew what to look for and found it. I carry it with my 73 serialized 10 for the day with a huge smile. :D
...
Brett, that red stag is awesome!:thumbup: Congrats, and a belated happy anniversary to you and your bride!! :D

GT - Thank you, that Case is a great knife :thumbup:
...
Thanks, Ron.

...
I'm heading out to the Finger Lakes Wine Festival at the Watkins Glen Speedway for the weekend. I need a knife that will do it all! (and don't worry, I'm bringing a separate corkscrew!)
...
That black Pioneer should make any festival more festive, IMHO! :p:thumbup:

Schrade Walden N.Y. USA Electrician in ebony

Just a wonderfully made knife

...
Phil and Gev, those are fabulous old knives; thanks!!:cool: Gev, how do you get your knife suspended on tree bark like that; do you have an anti-gravity machine??:D

Today My wife gave me this Desert Ironwood Buck custom 532,
...
in celebration of two years off the smokes :)
Good for you!! I just had my 3rd anniversary and must say that my life is so much better for it.
Kudos to both of you for your decisions and will power!!:) I finally gave up smoking last Christmas; it was easier to quit than I thought it would be, but I was surprised how strong the urges still are on a warm summer evening 6 months later! :(:o

Got a new Talon in the mail today. In my pocket she went.
...
Primble, should we expect to see a 92 display cabinet showing up soon?:p Congrats on your new Talon; the stag is gorgeous!!

...
Totin" some Stag today, hoping everyone is having a good one :D:D:D
...
Sweet 2014 Forum knife, Ron!

Well, it's good to be home, and after my flight across the Pacific and the western half of the US one of the first things I did was grab a pocket knife again. Chose the new and newly modified #06L in winterbottom bone. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh . . . .
...
Welcome home, Jeff! :D

Great knives as usual folks!
Here's my knife for the evening:
...
Fausto
That is a wonderful sheepsfoot, 2-blade Oeser, Fausto!! Marvelous!

Finished another little project today and had the 73 in Stag in my pocket.
...
Stag Saturday
Harry
Another impressive display cabinet, Harry! And your stag 73 is still splendiferous! (What are the "cutouts" on either side of the base? I place to hold your pocket contents overnight?)

...
This-a-one.
Love that-a-one, FBC; Portuguese Perfection!

...
My 'softened' #73L today

Beautiful knife that Sam. Qualifies for the Ebony thread:cool:

Horn, especially dark tip is hellish to capture. This recently came back from Gilles after a rapid and really excellent 'change of clothes':D
...

GEC #68 White Owl and the Black Pioneer next to my trusty pocketwatch and snuff
...Overloaded for shorts?! No way... :o
THREE black-handled beauties (wood, horn, and Alox) in quick succession!! Excellent knives, and photos thereof!;)

Great knives and photo's everyone. Getting back in the swing of things since my mom's passing and all that goes with it.

Carrying my 73 which was my worry stone all last week and my new Beer Scout which arrived yesterday.
...
The saw cut Beer Scout looks great, Mark, and I can't believe the patina on your 73 already!!:cool: (The stag on your 73 ain't chopped liver either! :p:thumbup:)

...I am going to call this one "The Indian looking toward the River" ;) Everyone enjoy your Sunday :)
...
Cool photo of your IRJ, Ron!! Nice title, too. :D

Three today...
Tremendous trio, bozak; I especially like the coffin jack!:cool:

Superb knife and photo, Bob!!

I'm still toting last week's carry; I'll select this week's "crew" later this afternoon. It will include this Sodbuster Jr that I carry almost every week, but it won't include the Remington canoe that had it's first pocket time last week.

I can say the same of my Copperhead. I'm somewhat weakly resisting the desire to grind the Sheepsfoot into a Spearpoint.

It's such a trim knife with so much blade packed into the handle.

I bought this 66 Slim right out of Christine's hand at Blade. I had no idea they were so svelte. What a great knife. It's coffin fodder for me.

Good looking Case and indian head nickel Ron~Haven't yet tried Case (surprising I know) but I will someday soon.

I cleaned up and polished all the scratches/patina on this Northwoods I got from Ryan/Lemmy Caution. Nicknaming it the 'blue vein' as Jake/Jsega15 said 'better than the 'blue crack' Going into the pocket~

Thanks Ron. I've posted pics of this one before. I haven't carried it much, but it is my favorite Northwoods model. No holdouts here my friend. :D

Bob - That is a beauty, I think I have it's twin brother :D

Ron, great photo and IRJ :D

Thank you Dave :)
