Today I'm carrying my #19 Queen premium trapper in aged amber honey stag bone I know Queen has had some QC problems lately but this Queen has been excellent.

I've been distracted by "non knifey things" lately but I think I managed to put a slippe in my pocket, either a eye sod or a stockman while taking cellphone and keys
cannot remember wich I carried today :D so it's one of those tow LOL

BAD unuseful post, thanks Elliot for letting me see that, didn't want to post "just to be here", yesterday I carried the EYE small yellow stockman, I'm trying to get used to it because I'd like a custom version but want to be sure i like it and indeed it's a great user

I was carrying some other (non traditional-Gasp!-) type stuff today, then this happened to end up in my hand, then my pocket:D. I need to take a better pic to show off the great patina on this blade.

I started out carrying my trusty GEC #53 Stockman.

But then these two showed up in the mail!:thumbup:

I sent 'em off to Grant Schlegel (forum member Pocketedge) for modifications. They each came back two blades lighter than they originally were. In their original incarnations (large Queen 4-blade congress & GEC cattle rancher) they were knives I really wanted to love, but I couldn't get past the fist-full-of-blades feeling I got while using them. Now they're slimmed down and ready for some daily duty.

Those look great!!! That "single blade cattleman" looks fine! There may be a trend starting here in the forum.

Ed,

It's all your fault!!
After I saw what you did with that Case Sowbelly Stockman I knew exactly what I had to do!

Cool thing is that Grant is going to put the extra blades from the cattleman into a custom micarta shadow frame. So nothings really gone to waste, and I'll end up with two great knives.

Thanks for the inspiration!

 That's a great idea! I can't wait to see what he comes up with for you. Be sure to post it somewhere when you get it! - Ed J

That's right!, but allot of them are already fading here :(
The Azaleas are popping!

Flame azalea come later around here. (2500'). Like your knife. Good looking faux tortoise shell.

to be apologied for yesterday's non knifey" post, this is what I will be carrying for a good while
have one in the collection and wanted a spare one to use, love it sooo much...was afraid it not to arrive as it took axactly 30 days from the US...

2007#73 in canvas rucarta, serial #102 or 150
F&F are very good for an early production, no burrs around, a bit gritty after all these years (dry maybe?) but opens great and it's not hard at all!!! much much less than the other one that is the same and only #61 even fairly sharp out of the box, slices paper fine so no need to strop or resharpen for now
sorry for the small pic, don't currently have a better one, have if of the other piece but looks worse
..hope ya like it

Today I'm carrying my Northfield UN-X-LD #72 that my friend and fellow forum member gave me. I love the 1095 and the beautiful patina that has developed.
