Today it is ebony.

Cool knife and pic, Dean! I'm amazed you had the patience to take down a tree that size with that sheepsfoot! :D

Thank you, Gary! You always have such a varied selection of knives to report on this thread! :) I am especially enamored by the Case half congress; exquisite bone - and a treasure....
Thanks for the kind words, Dean. :) I won that Case in a leghog "downsizing GAW" and he must be very serious about downsizing to give up a magnificent knife like that half congress.

5K Qs - that Victorinox is bone. It was made by a 14 year old boy that is clearly one heck of a knife artist. I have had the case Cane for years. Still looks clean as a whistle.
Thanks for the additional info, YellowSwiss.

5K, nope. Tomorrow the FR gets a break strictly because it's Sunday. Sunday is my ivory Davison wedding knife for church. Then it's the baby shower for my wife and coming boy. So I'll be carrying his 48 improved trapper that is already designated to go to him. I'll post pics!
I saw the photos in a later post; sweet knives! That ivory wedding/church Davison is stupendously high-class!:thumbup:

I was at the market today and picked up these two. A 1983 Case Whittler and a Wenger Standard Issue. I gave them a carry.

Have a good one!

Ken K.
Your market always seems good for a couple of incredible knives, Ken; congrats on your new acquisitions!

If you're wondering why the scales look weird it's because the plastic film was flaking off and the paint came with it when I cleaned it off.
I have an old Imperial serpentine jack (at 3 1/8" it's a bit bigger than your peanut) and when I started carrying it, some kind of film (reminded me of semi-transparent varnish or shellac) started flaking off. I lost some of the brown of the covers that way, but mine hasn't gone as white as yours (yet). Here's a photo of mine with a Case peanut:

I appreciate your noticing, Ron. :)

These today : Recycled pictures // 73 Stag and my Ol Pal Cutlery ....

Harry
That Pal looks pretty solid, Harry!

Thanks, GT. I'm at the Beverly Hilton, with tickets to the Grammys tomorrow, as well as the after show party. Carrying my Electrician, which I keep in my travel kit.
That sounds like quite an adventure, Jeff! Enjoy yourself!

Thanks GT, cool Higo

I have these two with me today, the BSA Scout I won in Abbydaddy's giveaway recently, and the Okapi Biltong Knife gifted me by R8shell :) Have a great Sunday everyone

Can't go wrong with a scout knife, Jack, and the Okapi is an interesting gift from r8shell!

This week's pairing is a Case Peanut w/stag and a Boker Medium Stockman w/green jigged bone.
That's a killer pair, Ratbert; hard to take my eyes off a stag peanut! You'll carry those two all week?

Standard Issue today

Great to see your fiery 81 again, Brett!

Today I carried an Eric's Jack and a Vic Cadet, thanks Primble.

Have a great evening everyone!

Ken K.
The olive Cadet is splendid, Ken, but the stag on your Eric's Jack is breathtaking!

Here is a shot of that G10 Seahorse that I picked up on my trip. This is what I will be carrying until I get back home.

Congrats on your Silver Knight, Frank. I don't have any experience with Gerber, so that's a unique-looking knife to me with its Barlow-crossed-with-penknife appearance!

Somehow, in my posts for the past week, I managed to overlook my "Big Knife of the Week", this Buck 4" clip/spey toothpick:

Thanks, GT. Yep, these two will stay on the dresser all week and both will get carried each day. Once the weekend rolls around again and I'm back in my blue jeans, my Buck 110 goes on the belt as well. Next week I'll choose another pair, one small blade and one a little bigger.

I like the way your serpentine jack looks with most of its black still there, kind of a contrast to my peanut.
The reason mine has so much paint gone is because I thought that film was some tape or something so I took a toothbrush and some simple green to it.
So far today and yesterday this peanut has been as much knife as I have needed, I guess if really did need a longer blade there's always the one on my leatherman which I don't use.
I'm starting to see how my grandpa was able to get by with nothing more than a vic classic.

My 2016 Blade forum knife and a space pen that's getting a really nice patina [emoji106]

I just used this old craftsman to adjust the nut on my wife's old Kay. I couldn't resist taking this picture!
