Just going to put these right here.

Very nice! I love Buck slipjoints. They are amazingly useful knives. When I go on week-long hunting or backpacking trips I took over which knives to bring... A Buck or two always find their way into my pocket.
That edge looks amazing! Great work!

It's my Peachseed TC today. I just can't bring myself to cut an apple with that clean blade just yet... Once one of my carbon traditionals cuts an apple no holds are barred!

That is a truly gorgeous photo of a great knife. The peachseed long pull clip TC has become my unputdownable EDC. It took a bit to cut my first apple etc, but there's no looking back. And it's what they're for! Patina well and truly set in.

Not a bad problem to have, that melon tester on top of the blue and red box looks pretty nice ;)

I put these Pumas in my pocket today just so I could post them here.
Knife nuts are a crazy bunch!

Nice stag on these!

The 895 Lord is from 1981, if my theory on dating is correct. This one displays some verdigris, which I guess happens.

The Medici is from 1991.

Beautiful knives, have now post some more of the collection Puma 4 Star mini.

Pt-Luso, Thanks for the comments. I've always liked those Puma 4 Star minis. Nice bunch you have there.

Alan, Great pic of that Tortoise Shell Tascosa. I've always been drawn to the tortoise shell look. Nice lock back!

Here's mine today. Same Lloyd, it's not going anywhere I'm afraid. Paired with a Eldon Talley City Knife in Mammoth and ATS-34. The sheath is from Don Cowles. It does double duty with a few of my small fixed blades.

New to me 81 and here I am stuck in my office today. Sok, maybe tomorrow it can help me cook dinner and start turning grey...

Thanks Gary. That's a stainless 15 in American Elk. More importantly, I'm pretty sure I speak for all of us when I say we look forward to your comments. It's nice to be appreciated.
Thanks, Alan. I appreciate your appreciating my appreciation of all the desirable knives I see posted here each day! :D

Now that is one fine knife :thumbup::thumbup:
...
Thanks my friend, hope you don't mind imagining the #25 Watchpocket Barlow I'm carrying today too (hoping normal service will resume later) :(

Nice-looking Congress
...
Thanks, Gary. My goodness, but that Case is attractive. I'll bet it is a joy to carry!

Another day with 'True Crimson.' Thanks for naming that knife for me, Gary.

Gev & Jack & Dean, thanks for the compliments on the little 3" Case I won in one of leghog's generous GAWs. The side I displayed isn't even the "good" side of the knife; I think the pile side has richer color:

Jack, I can visualize a sunny, cheery little Barlow; is that the one?
You're welcome, Dean; glad I was granted "naming rights" free-of-charge. ;)

Who makes that one?

This is a Portuguese knife of the brand "CUREL" :D

Thanks for the information, Pt-Luso. Splendid knife with an ideal spearpoint blade.

Yup, a few. I've had them covered for a couple of sub-freezing days, but they're tough little buggers. A couple new ones grew up outside the cover and seem just fine.
Very nice! I'll have to start watching my yard now that it's often light when I leave for work and when I return afterwards.

Looks like Spring is on the way :)
...
Yes, that's the knife I imagined! ;) I'm definitely encouraged by the signs of spring in that pic!

...
Also came across a Hardware Co. Catalogue with some old Russells shown in it which I thought maybe you would like to see .

GT !!!!! : That photo of your 77 Barlow is verrrrrry nice my friend . You really captured that 77
Harry
Thanks for the compliment on the Northfield Barlow, Harry. I carry it everywhere with me in my backpack, but I haven't actually used it yet! Not quite sure how to act with a knife that's so different from what I'm used to.
How old is the catalog whose page of Russells you posted? I'll take a couple of those economy #603s, please! ;)

Epic ebony, Gev!

...
Today I carried a Schrade 980T and a Vic Poineer Settler.

Have a good one!

Ken K.
Thanks for sharing another prominent pair, Ken; couple of classics, for sure!

My afternoon snack. This CC is a newer Effingham era sample, but very nicely made.

That Cripple Creek Barlow is a beauty, Tom!

Another classic pattern, Joe!

I'm still on the two knife thing and have a "pair of Jack's" on me today. :D A Washington Jack and a Yankee Jack. The Yankee Jack was a gift from my good friend Bob (BigBiscuit).

xagGIi2.jpg
Snazzy scarlet jacks, Randy! Red duo from Redden. :p

Northwoods Fremont Jack and GEC 71 Bullnose, both in beautiful denim micarta

I don't have any micarta-clad knives yet, but that denim micarta sure is captivating!

Tortoise Shell Tascosa.

Attractive knife, Alan! I sent off my only tortoise shell knife in a GAW, and miss having an example. Maybe a Rough Rider canoe in faux tortoise shell in my next buying spree! ;)

Just going to put these right here.

Did those both start out as TL-29s?? Superb mods!!

Another charming photo from the "knives and water" collection!

My "official" Euro knife of the week is a French Opinel #8 garden knife:

But my "Big Knife of the Week" is a German Mercator Black Cat:

And my non-Alox SAK of the week is a Swiss Recruit:

Both stunning Gary, I suspect that Lloyd is going to take some getting rid of! ;)

Classy Vince

Thanks for the compliments my friend, I like your European workhorses

Thanks GT! Yes those were both TL-29s. And they are my first two slip joint mods. I'm really liking the tl29 frame. I've got a lot of ideas in the works for future mods. Stay tuned!

Classy Vince

Thanks for the compliments my friend, I like your European workhorses

Thanks, Jack. I think one solution might be carrying more knives!

Classy Vince

I agree! Nice Vince!

Jack, I went back to see what you were carrying at 4:07 EST. Nice choice for the day!

A GEC farm and field, haynhelper and and old bone scaled D Peres, Solingen, it has a old school beehive stamped on the blade, worn but still scary sharp. Chris

Sometimes it can be tough to date a vintage knife...unless a date is engraved onto it! I tried to capture it with my limited photographic skills, but it says O-pee-chee 1925. (Yes, there is a period after the year!
