Ken K.
Fine Alox Classics (or are they Minichamps?), Gurdygurds and Ken. I carry a Minichamp every day, and I love Alox SAKs, but I don't think I could carry an Alox Minichamp because I wouldn't want to give up the ink pen!

?
Yes, it was invisible ink on a white screen. but even secret agents leave finger prints...
Sorry about that .. Now i know some folks are not using the black screen. How is the red? 5K Qs ?
BgG9YsIl.jpg
The red has fine "cred", Methuselah.;)

Remember, I had one third of my life that I spent with that one knife as my edc. :D
Good point. Did the saber grind take any getting used to?

...
Thanks GT, nice line-up there my friend
Thanks, Jack. :) I have a Joker just like the one you carried yesterday, and a photo of yours before I went to Spain was the inspiration for me getting one when I happened upon that model in a Valencia knife shop. ;)

Thinking of that trip has me remembering a bit of my Sesame Street Spanish: I like your rojo y negro navajas, Jack!;)

Gary
Yes sir....I had forgotten how sharp these old Colonials and Imperial get. I caught myself shaving paper a few times yesterday ;)
...
I agree, Gev. I'm not an accomplished sharpener, but I can usually get my old Imperials and Colonials plenty sharp enough for my uses.

Carrying the one that got me started.

Nice pic, Greg! First knives have magical powers! :D

Kris, that Chamblin whittler just takes my breath away every time!:thumbsup:

Kris, Once again, it just doesn't get any better than that!
Nice knives and pics today folks!
Giving my Lloyd trapper some time off and carrying my Halfrich Small Rounder along with a handy Bird and Trout from Tom Krein in CPM-D2.

You have such fantastic knives, Gary, and you take such stellar photos of them.:cool: If I took pics of those two knives, they wouldn't look nearly as phenomenal!

A-1 Aitor, Gev! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Got these two going for me at work.

Great idea, Ron!:thumbsup: Each time another of these maniacs attacks, I get more disturbed.

My "Big Knife" of the Week isn't really very big, but classifying it that way let's me carry it more often, and I REALLY like carrying this buffalo horn GEC 85 spear/coping EO teardrop (thanks, Paul):

Thanks Gary. You're too kind.
That's a nice lookin EO you posted! Nothing wrong with your photos either sir.

This one is for GT... you wanted to see what Michael Morris made of my father-in-law's old rusty Nicholson file; it was given to me after long use. Since my son loves to hike and camp, I thought it would be great if he had something of his grandfather's with him as he enjoyed the outdoors. Since his grandpa was a scout and outdoorsman (back in his youth, in his own country), a solid knife would be great. So with my father-in-law's blessing, I contacted Michael and he made me a knife. He did great work.

Here is the process, from start to finish; we had it out to oil and appreciate it--so, we toted it a little. My son is a little too young for such a substantial knife just yet, but he looks forward to using it when the time comes.

Nice Sam

Take away the rose,
the vibrant flower that you pluck,
but not the water that suddenly
bursts forth in joy,
the sudden wave
of silver born from you.
Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your silver shining laughter.
For when your laughter enters
it rises to the sky seeking me
and it opens for me all
the doors of life.

Pablo Neruda ( my apologies )

Great to see your Aitor Gev

An English knife, today.

Thanks r8shell :)

Very nice pics, Jack...as usual! Love the swedges on those earlier 15 spear blades. And also the lack of a top pin on the cover...I think it looks cleaner that way.

Thank you my friend

Carrying this one from the UK today with my thoughts and prayers going out for Manchester!

Muchas gracias mi amigo! :D  Sadly, I think Joker has stopped making those knives (mine is the small one). That's a good-looking 85 :)

Just this one for me today

Sounds and looks like a good day, Greg !! Great photograph

Nice pic, Greg! First knives have magical powers! :D

Thanks guys. I had in mind when I posted that it was my first non-SAK slipjoint, but then I remembered another that I no longer own. Oops. But, it was the first slipjoint that I really bonded with, that I modified to be just how I wanted it, and that entrenched my fascination with traditional pocketknives. So, it's still fair to say that it was the one that got me started. ;)

Just this one for me today
Nice little knife, Jack. Looks like an appropriate carry. Does the tang stamp say Manchester? Sending thoughts and prayers for the good people in the UK.

A Study in Micarta for me today. I was looking through the 2017 BF knife thread and it prompted me to carry these today. I think the 2017 Natural Micarta TC Barlow will look good in the group.
