We finally have some cool weather started down this way in this neck of the woodlands.. Strapped this trusty old Ruana on my right hip and gave her a covey of licks to touch her up a bit on the stone after I released her from the sheath whilest on the trail..

Slipped this vintage Apple Butter colored jigged Bone workhorse of a Harness Jack pattern into my right front pocket while it was still dark this morning.. Produced in the USA by Winchester prior to WWII..

yup, friction folder, the blade flipper is stamped

REAL
PAMPA KNIFE

& SONS
SHEFFIELD
ENGLAND

blade is right at 3in. from the pivot, blade extension (the flipper) is about 7/8in. grip & scales are 3 1/2 in. long. pivoted at the narrow end. brass liners. scales appear to be blackened bone, but i'd guess they're plastic.

apparently made in the 1970-80 date area.

saw a similar one once, kept my eyes open on e-pray & managed to score one a few years back before the sheeple scared ebay.co.uk into stopping the sale of any knives at all...can't even buy a knife/sword from ebay usa & have it shipped.

Spending much of the day outside today with my boy. Working around the yard, putting up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house.

Looks even better than I hoped, really it!:thumbup:

You must have 'connexions' or picked it up in person from the factory-bench.:D:D

Today, Queen Harness Jack in carbon. One of those rare Queen knives that arrived sharp and gets keen with ease, like this knife more and more.

Got the AGR gunstock on my belt and the alox Secretary in a front pocket. The difference in thickness between the two is such that the Secretary almost fits inside the handle of the open gunstock.

Extremely nice Catt on view there Mike.

Is it single-spring & could you state some dimensions/age?

Many thanks, Will

Hi Guys -

I am using this nice Case humpback whittler today to cut tape while wrapping packages ;^)

I happened to meet with Mr. Sogetsu yesterday, and since I had ordered one on his behalf, I hand delivered the knife to him to save on the shipping.

Here is an "in hand" shot of Mr. Sogetsu's knife, which was very well made....

I have not opened one for me yet, and I will not do so until I have all of them shipped.

best regards -

Autumn has come, time for orange's and brown's to take the lead and put the white's and blue's away till next spring...
And since I'm at work today, and I wanted to sharpen it a bit better, I'm carrying my Buck Canoe today:
