I'm not a huge fan of the peanut pattern but man, everything about your knife strikes a right chord with me. The black scales and rounded bolsters are great. I don't usually like clip blades on non-hunters but there's a thickness to yours that works for me. I would never polish off the patina either. Some knives look better with patina and yours is in that camp easily.

Lastly the connection to your dad is priceless. Really nice knife!

It really is a great little knife. Been through quite a bit of work and still has zero blade wobble and a nice snap. My dad used it daily and also carried it in his watch pocket.

I decided to get my forum knife out for a photo this morning and have been carrying it since then. It's a great knife. My hat is off to the guys that made this happen for us.

Fine picture of a fine knife Ed, really looking forward to having mine.

Today, Chambriard Le Compact in stag one pocket, Queen Cutlery Teardrop Liner lock in the other (similar to the Forum 11 knife!)

Thanks jacktrades, it certainly took a while to get it like that, but it was certainly worth it. You actually don't need much in the way of equipment, I just used some wet/dry sandpaper on top of a norton stone, and pretty much kept the blade flat. It's pretty much convexed from the top of the saber grind down.

I really wish Buck would use the flat ground blades again, or at least thin out the back bevel a bit. It would really make the 300 series shine.

Queen Dan Burke small & large Barlow knives. really like the sawcut bone handles and the d2. But it is a bear to sharpen. It sures holds a nice edge.

Here is one fine custom Trapper by Mr. Lloyd that I have had in the watch pocket of my jeans since the middle of last week. Super slim profile, sweet red bone, half stops that open and close with a loud echo and 52100 steel that cuts clean & quick make her a pure ole-D pleasure to be a tote'n. The very best part is I received her from a super great friend from the other side of the planet! :)
