Super stag guys :thumbsup:

I'm totin' these two today :) :thumbsup:

A week in the pocket, it's a keeper!

Captivating coffin, Signalprick! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I'm kind of in a rut also. Nice rut. Rut as in worn track, not as in mating frenzy.
TcWyaLe.jpg
I'll bet that is a satisfying rut to be in, Jer! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: (At my age, that kind of rut is more likely than a mating frenzy. :rolleyes:)

Carrying this #25 I got from Bob a couple years ago.

Thoughtful tribute, Barrett! :thumbsup::):cool:

Crackin up some hickory nuts for pancakes this morning.

As a side note, I’ve never seen a crop of hickories, walnuts, and acorns as this year. The squirrels can’t keep up. Since September, I’ve picked up over 30 gallons of hickory nuts. Most are getting planted/scattered, but I culled out some of the fat ones for eating.

Interesting, since I'm experiencing the opposite situation. My yard has several oak trees that are dropping an unusually low number of acorns. :confused:

Thank you 5K Qs 5K Qs . I really enjoy the way you always make a point to compliment everyone. Very cool. And that is a great looking sbj.
Thanks for the kind comment about my posts, Mike. I'm just following the examples of several positive role models on The Porch. :):thumbsup::thumbsup:

It is 5 1/2 inches long closed, 9 7/8 inches long open, the blade is about 4 1/2 inches from tip to bolster. I am a real fan of large toothpick knives. I wish a company was making a design like this one currently, with a long upswept swedged clip point.

Today I am carrying a Rough Rider Razor Trapper.
....

Thanks for the specs on your toothpick, Josh. :) Cool razor trapper :cool::thumbsup:; are the covers faux tortoise shell, or does RR call that something else?

This pony while waiting for my son's bus to arrive. Then gonna switch it up to the TC forum knife for my last football game of the season. If we win we make the playoffs!!!! Go Diamondbacks!!!
That is one CLASSIC jack knife, tmd!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks pal, I used to sub-edit Climber & Rambler magazine here, and am happy to encourage a few ramblings ;) Lovely SBJr :) :thumbsup:
...
:D:D Thanks for the sodbuster comment, Jack. :)

That photo is absolutely NUTS in its quality, Dean!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Propitious Presidential! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

...
Today's carry, keeping it simple, light, and slim.

And SHINY! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: With several posts mentioning nuts, your choice of your Squirrel is inspired! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Beautiful knives, as always, folks.

Among a few other knives, I was carrying this Ulster Jack that is still a bit of mystery to me.

IMG_20171103_152439_2.jpg

The tang stamp (Ulster OVER Knife Co OVER NY) dates it between 1876 (!) and 1941, so there's a chance that's it's my oldest knife, but the wonky shield makes me think it's been rehandled (not that that is a bad thing) The wear on the Rosewood or Cocobolo handles is enough to seem really old, though. I don't know this knife's story, but I wish I did! Maybe it was rehandled in '60s and carried for the next 50 years. Maybe it was botched at the factory. Maybe someone faked the whole thing to make a quick buck. Who knows? I really dig it. That's all I know.
Fascinating mystery surrounding your knife, Shawn! :cool::thumbsup::cool: A related mystery that you can probably solve for me concerns the background of the photo. Kind of looks like dessert bars I've seen people bake, but I'm guessing it's really a dried up mud puddle?

...
I think I'll carry it today in fact! :) Along with my Guardians Lambsfoot ;) Have a great weekend everyone :thumbsup:

Attractive pair of knives, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: And the cane is also cool; I've suddenly got a swollen, gimpy knee that's making me think about canes. :( What (or who) is reflected in the rat tail groove of the bolster of your Guardian Lambsfoot??

Not carrying these two at work today. Well, one isn’t in my bag. LBW is such a complicated knife to make I understand, but a nicely made intricate machine. Neat to just play with and look at.

That whittler is phenomenal, SVT! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Boker 492 today

FsfyrPZ.jpg
Your Böker Barlow is big-league, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: That model always catches my attention; I have a Böker cap, so I should hunt down a sweet Barlow to go with it. ;)

Totin this A. Wright Sambar Stag Lambsfoot today :)

Ron, you're such a vigilant Guardian of the Lambsfoot! :thumbsup:;):thumbsup: Even on Stag Saturday, you're at your post with a Lambsfoot! :cool::cool:

Alan, you sound like a man trying to convince himself! ;) Both knives are gorgeous, and FWIW, I sure appreciate my knives at a whole new level once I start using them! :thumbsup::cool:

This Churchill has been getting a lot of pocket time this week.

Am I the only one who can no longer see P&G's pics anymore?? :(:confused:

We won the game last night! I'm not saying the forum knife was good luck but the past three games we won I have been carrying it... Playoff bound!
Congrats, tmd, and best wishes to your team in the playoffs!! :thumbsup::cool::):thumbsup: (Are you sure the knife is the charm, and not that delicious Imperial stout you praised in the Beverages and Blades thread?? :p)

These today...

Lovely stag 25, Pt-Luso!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

These two today.

Magnificent matched pair, Tom! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

This is such a great knife. Thanks BF!

Marvelous photo, Dschal!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I've fallen behind on showing off knives I've been carrying this week. :(
My watch pocket knife is a Rough Rider cannitler:

My "big knife" this week is a 1967 Buck 110 one of my brothers gave me a while back:

My peanut for the week is probably my favorite peanut (or at least one of the top 3 :rolleyes:):

Thanks my friend :) The cane is more than 120 years old. Sorry to hear about your knee, it's not easy getting old is it?! :eek: That would be me and my faithful Canon Ixus :D Hope you have a lovely Sunday GT :thumbsup:

You guys have got my hip aching.
I've been thinking lately that I should carry a cane all the time, for banging on the floor when I gripe and grouse.
But here's a knife I haven't posted.

The bottom line is "HDW CO". The name on the handle is "CARDWELL".
It will be easy to find pocket space for it because it's incredibly thin.

Nice carries GT, sorry my pictures have stopped showing up for you. Are others not seeing my pictures anymore? Is it just mine that are not showing up for you?

Thanks Jack! That is two beauties you have today. The pearl really has some fire to it and the horn, well that goes without saying my friend! :thumbsup::cool:

Gary I can see why you are fond of that little Chestnut Peanut. It’s a nice one! :thumbsup: I will admit to growing quite fond of my Lambsfoots, or should that be Lambsfeet! :eek::D

P&G if this post had one of your photos in it it doesn’t show for me either. I will look at some of your other posts from lately and check. :thumbsup:

Today I’ve got a Toms Choice and a Midnight Special :)

Here's what I have been carrying this week.
yPlyFLu.jpg

I am starting to come full circle with the pliers. Was carrying a Leatherman for the last few years but always found my self needing full size pliers. So it's back to my good ol USA made ct pliers that were faithfully on my hip as a kid on the farm. Just feels so natural.

Sorry to hear about your bum knee, GT. I have my share of knee pains, as well. My wife always freaks out when my knees are about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of my body at the end of the day.

You're dead-on regarding the background of my photo; no delicious desserts at work. Only lots and lots of mud puddles.

Love that Chestnut Peanut!

I'll try again since I am carrying the Churchill today also. I am posting 2 pictures one as an upload to the forum and one my usual way. One picture of knife open and one of knife closed (If anyone does not see the picture of the knife in the closed position could you send me a PM? It seems maybe my pictures have not been showing up for everyone)

^Another 35 with some nice stag!

I can see the pic with the main blade open/secondary closed, then a "?" below that.

I notice that you are using dropbox for the second pic, maybe you have to be a user of dropbox to see it ???

Thanks a lot Ron, I've had the IXL a few years now, and it was a lucky find :) You've captured the horn on your Midnight Special beautifully there :) :thumbsup:
