What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A couple more older knives in my pockets today (I need to look in my stash for some more recent ones). These are almost twins, in that both are 4-blade equal end pen knives (senators) with tip bolsters, narrow spear mains, and matching cut-outs at the nail nicks so the blades can sit low. The Ulster (1876-1941) is wearing brown jigged bone and brass liners, the U.S. Cutlery Co. (1920-1941) is in very dark brown jigged bone and brass liners. Both are under 3.5" closed.

Thanks Paul,I look forward to you posting pictures when it arrives:thumbsup:

So pointy I cut my finger looking at it!
HaHa, yes, it is also very sharp! It is a very loose interpretation of a Pattada, the only things they got right is the blade shape and the use of horn, the handle shape and bolster are way off.

I call it my sardine knife ;) if Fausto sees this, I hope he can forgive me :)

LOL...I had to take a double take at it. Then I saw the spring sticking out. It's cool !! Who makes it?

As far as I know, it was an SFO through Lion Steel for a sportsmans supply company ( clothing & hunting accessories ) that does a lot of catalog sales. I removed the blade etch.

Another old school custom slipjoint by Ed Kramp circa 2001. No washers, no blade play, D2, halfstops on all blades flush. Unusual, larger than normal nick on the main. Carried by a friend for a few months before he decided it was too large and sold it to me.

I don't know a thing about custom pocket knives, but that sure impresses me as an outstanding, opulent knife, Chief!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Double barlow day, in order to double-down on the family's illnesses.
Big-league binary barlows, JTB_5 JTB_5 !:cool::thumbsup: Hope health comes to your household ASAP!

Thanks GT, congrats on the new additions :).

These two for me on a snowy Monday, better not drop them ;).

Thanks, Tom. :)
I like your white bone pair!:cool::thumbsup: But you're right, and I mentioned this to someone recently: lots of folks showing off white bone this winter, which seems rather risky! ;)

That's a serviceable pair, Hickory n steel Hickory n steel , that can handle a lot of tasks between them!:thumbsup::cool:

Weather permitting, I'll be heading over to meet up with @ADEE early tomorrow, and check out his local flea-market. I've got a few knives to show him, but I'll have these two trousered ;)

I hope your trip was safe and enjoyable, Jack. Your edgy fellow travelers are certainly a distinguished pair!:cool::thumbsup:

I have these two with me today. It is hard to want to push the Churchill or some form of Lambsfoot out of the pocket. They are both exceptionally useful.

Matchless pair, Dylan! :thumbsup:;):cool::thumbsup:

Drawn to this CSC BladeForums knife today.

Such a desirable, useful knife, Dean!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Back to this old thing today.

That knife looks "Ram Tough", Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:;)

I was in a freezing and foolishly followed) quest to fix my truck today, so I did not take pics of my carry knives (only one of which would have fit in this thread). So, to honor the fine barlows shown today, I offer a repeat pic of a few Queenies that I showed previously. (Hopefully, I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow, though our impending snow may make my outdoor photo fun less fun.)

Thanks for the praise for the Mohawk stag, mykel; I think it's the best stag I have! :) That old Opinel looks like it has plenty of productivity left in it!:cool::thumbsup:

The chestnut swayback jack is one of my favorite pocketknives - yours is lovely.

I'm not carrying mine this week, but after seeing yours and Half/Stop's, I feel compelled to show off mine, too (thanks, Paul).

Captivating couple of ravishing beauties, Drew!:cool::cool::thumbsup:

I learned in gaining the insight that I reported that Bernard Levine views stockman knives as refined versions of the cattle knife or, at least, mostly serpentine versions. As to the KC whittler, I, too, went down the copperhead hole trying to identify it. All seems more like alchemy than science.

Your Champion is a fearsome bristling beast!! it looks like a cross between a fire fighting boat and a John Deere feller buncher for timber clearing. I gathered up a few Band-Aids before I looked at it again.

Thanks for the further thoughts on your knives from a couple of days ago, Stuart.:)
And thanks for the vivid word pictures in your kind comments on my Vic Champion!:cool::D

Thanks GT!

This picture makes me sad.
It's a great picture , but reminds me of the end of an era.
Knowing that Craftsman tools are now 98% Chinese is sad.
Western forge is still producing screwdrivers and Vaughan & Bushnell is still producing some Craftsman tools but that's only a handful of things.
I received some Chinese Craftsman tools for my birthday, and while they're not inferior quality wise to the last of their US made counterparts, the high value American made tool to was special.

Btw I took a similar picture about 2 years ago with a pile of random wrench from my grandfather, but I can't post it here because the blades are modern.
