What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hah I know how you feel! I always have two. A traditional and a fixed or a modern folder. And lately I’ve had the thought to add a third regularly to left pocket with my keys.
Me too, but more often these days I'm carrying a small fixed blade instead of the modern folder. The lanyard lets it hang inside the pocket.

This is an example of the type of knife A. Wright and Son is currently producing in Sheffield. I am very impressed. The ebony is extremely dark and silky smooth. The fit and finish is superb, and the knife snaps open with authority. Of course, we had our own Jack Black riding herd over them, so this might not be completely representative. But, hopefully, they will see the commercial value in producing a higher quality knife. Now, back to my coffee. Have a great weekend everyone!

I've been carryin' a small fixed blade, since the early 90s, (usually a necker with a static cord attached to the belt/loop on the pants). The advantages of a fixed blade over a folder justify the extra weight to bring both.

Some of the pocket sized fixed blades I carry regularly.

Harry that is one that I had numerous opportunities to buy. All were in person and I didn't get one! It haunts me every time I see one posted. :(

That is a beautiful 78! Gorgeous Stag!:thumbsup:

They have been fun today! :) On a more somber note, I see you were a fan of Anthony! So sad!
Thanks Ron, big fan of stag and got lucky on this one:thumbsup:

Johnson Smith catalogue!? I'm embarrassed by the stuff I bought from them. A crystal ball that was a marble, a ventrillo bird whistle that didn't help you throw your voice at all, an automatic repeating pistol that tossed beans from a spring...(Knife content:) a German dagger of the worst material and workmanship possible. I had that finger chopper also.

Jack Black Jack Black , do you really think these sheathes are similar?

I’m Totin these two this morning. Have a good Saturday! :)

That's not how this works! You can't just post 4 pictures of this thing, with no tang stamp showing (!), in what looks like a trapper blade configuration, which I have never seen, in a gorgeous bone handled easy opener without expecting polite pleas for details and pics!

A Case 47 large stockman from 1940-1964 and a Case 54 large trapper from 1965-1969 for Stagurday totin'.

Thankfully I couldn't order from them Jer! :D Yeah, definitely! Frost's did those knives in a range of colours. The Swedish Army Knife came in that same shade of green (but without the logo on the handle), in both carbon and stainless, and with in camo with a stainless partly-serrated blade. I have examples of all three. Also wrote a piece about the Swedish Army Knife for a British magazine 20-odd years ago. I might have it somewhere if you remind me

Today with the new VIC alox pioneer 2018!!

The new and the "old ones" look great. Thanks for sharing them.

This one today

Nice old Ulster, Steve. It really looks fine.

Grail worthy, Stuart!

Thanks, Jeff. I should carry them more than just on Stagurdays.

Extremely fine examples Stuart! That 47 .... wow.

Thanks, Josh. I need to carry (and show) it with its cousins, a 47HP and a 047P, sometime.
