Kind of interesting Ancient & Modern, both being Traditional. The next time somebody (again...:rolleyes:) asks "What makes a Traditional?" Show these :D

Thanks, Will

Thank you Gary, I love this blade, I like how the belly is back towards the middle (leaf shaped), giving the tip a more piercing profile. Jarrett used CPM154:thumbsup: Oh, and an AMAZING tapered tang:cool:

Congratulations Paul, good-looking new knife :) Interesting too, the blade profile reminds me a little of some of the Spanish blade patterns, though it has a more impressive belly :thumbsup:

I used my GEC #18 Beagle in Oil Sucker Rod Wood to help cut some wildflowers for my fiancee yesterday.

I'm pretty excited also about my GEC #25 formerly in Unicorn Ivory Acrylic that Nick aka Birdvis rebuilt and fixed up with wooly mammoth ivory covers

Not finished in this pic, but still looking good:

I really like those two! Especially the clip point.

Jack that candlestick definitely has some nice Sambar my friend. I believe the Oakedge Lambsfoot I’m Totin today is built on the same pattern as your Wright’s Barlow. :)

Today I have one from Titusville and one from Sheffield! :)

Thanks Ron, yes indeed :) Nice pairing my friend :thumbsup:

I'm totin' two distant cousins for Twosday: a Schatt & Morgan hunter (1903-1932, 5.25") and a Winchester trapper (1989, 4"), both with Queen connections. Go big or go home (or something like that).

Unfortunately, the beautiful clear sunlight obscured the Winchester etch, the tang stamps, and the bevel of the saber grind on the clip blades. Still rather have the sun than a perfect picture.

Little project, 90% of horse carved with various pocket knives, good bulk of material around the profile removed with a dremel. Now I'm under cutting the profile to define it more. Oh some details on the face was done with a dremel, mostly to sand and soften lines
That's some impressive whittling, MH!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you, the wood is "Carrasco", a species of oak bush!!!

Thanks for the link, sir! :)

Talon in Ebony, a truly wonderful present from Ken K in Canada, great pity he seems to have ceased posting o_O Does anybody know anything about him lately?

Will, I looked back to find the last time Ken @Itsasportsbar appeared here, and coincidentally it was a year ago yesterday. I don't know any recent news, but he mentioned about a month before his last post that he had his gall bladder removed and was recovering slowly from that. Rather worrisome. :(

This week I’ll be carrying my Case 6318, Amber Bone Medium Stockman.

That's an attractive classic, @Ratbert . :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

A couple of old favorites today. Second only to my old Boy Scout knife, and a fishing knife, Schrade Trappers and this 33OT jack are my oldest patterns.
Just about the perfect pair to me.

Today in my pocket is this little GEC # 14...

Grand little knife, Senhor Pinto!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Picked this up a couple of days ago from a second hand tool vendor. In fact I saw this a few weeks ago and wasn't going to buy what I thought was a pretty standard rosewood handled, sheep foot with an odd shaped blade. But now, having re-profiled the blade and polished the handle to reveal what I think is either green horn or possibly stained bone, I'm really glad I did. Interestingly one side of the tang is marked Joseph Allen & Sons, Sheffield and the other GPO 1960. From the research I've done it appears the company made knives for the GPO since the 1930s when they also owned the telephone services in Britain as well as the postal service. The majority of these knives were used for stripping cable but few of the examples shown are of this quality and none of this particular pattern which I think would have started life with a larger sheep foot blade which, I suppose, would have done the job. Anyway, I'm very glad I went back for this one, the blade has a lovely patina and I love the green scales. :):thumbsup:

Back from vacation and about 20 pages behind on this thread :eek:
Welcome back, Ken! :) As usual, an enchanting knife and photo! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Piscatorial pulchritude, Gev!! :cool::thumbsup:;)

Carrying this (new to me) old Catt today!:thumbsup:

That is one phenomenal, charismatic Catt!! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

This morning, I helped a friend move a 330 lbs. gun safe into his house and up a flight of stairs. Was possessed by grim terror and burning muscles most of the time. My trusty Imperial barlow really impressed him when it came time to "remove" the cardboard shipping carton. Now, I'm helping another buddy work on his track car - a little less stressed.

Thanks GT, terrific threesome you're showing there today my friend :thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. :)

For fun, and to entertain my granddaughters, I gathered up several hundred of the discarded cicada exoskeletons, and mounted them - using their little hooked feet - on a window screen as if they were racing to the top.

I am easily entertained.
:D:D I envy your easy entertainability, Jeff. :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yes, identical and with the same serial number, but with different names. Both are 3 1/8".
Those are a trio of classics that you are totin' today. Good on ya'.
