What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You are correct, it is one of the new Walker versions that has the toothpick and tweezer slots, I swapped out the toothpick for the firefly firestarter, great knife, one of my favorite tool selections on a Victorinox.
Here is the alox version of the Lumberjack

I have a Silver Alox Lumberjack and a few of the older ones that don’t have the tweezers or toothpick. I’ll have to check out the firefly, never heard of it before.

How are you liking that 66? I had plans on getting the same model, but we all know how you might plan for one knife, you somehow end up with another, haha.

I love the aesthetics, even more than some of the fancier models. My only concern was the Sheepsfoot sticking out a bit too far and deterring the ergonomics the frame clearly shows off. That serpentine shape is absolutely what pulled me in. Beautiful knife!

Thank you for the kind words!
I don’t feel the sheepsfoot blade sticks out too far from the frame. It’s fits nicely between my middle and ring fingers with the clip open. My hands are an intermediate size where medium gloves are generally too tight, and large gloves too loose so take that for what it’s worth. In more concrete terms, I frequently carry a Case medium stockman (63032) and the sheepsfoot on the 66 sticks out less than 1/16” further.

I love that wood table. It provides the perfect background for knife pics. The knife ain’t bad either.

Thanks for the compliment on my Norfolk. They are terrific! I have been getting a lot of compliments on my “Knife Board” lately. :) It is actually not a table or not even just a board! It is a cutout in the shape of the Great State of Tennessee! ;) It is comprised of two antique fence boards that have been joined together with a Kreg Jig joint! The boards are then cut to shape on a band saw. The weathered texture of the boards do make a excellent background. Before you ask, No, I didn’t make it. My lovely wife bought it for me in an antique store in Lebanon Tennessee! :D

Handsome 43, Ron!:thumbsup: Your garage must be like a big treasure chest! ;):cool: Did you run across any NIB traditional folders squirreled away in there? :)
 Not in there! :p I take better care of my knives than that Gary! :D

That is a beautiful Schrade Paul! :)

Today I am carrying this little Camillus 24 Jack with faux ivory covers and “gift shop” scrimshaw. It is my parent’s 68th wedding anniversary today and I am carrying it in their honor.
My Mom bought it for my Dad as an anniversary present many years ago and a couple of years ago my Dad passed it on to me.
As far as I know, it resided on his dresser and he never carried it, preferring to carry his little Imperial every day and keep the Camillus pristine. Except for a couple of little spiderwebs, it is still in great shape.

Here is the happy couple a couple of months ago, on my Mom’s 95th birthday (c’mon Dad...smile!)

Bushboot and HJ:thumbsup:

I broke out the HJ lastnight as my cigar burned short (the best part) and when it does, it tends to get awfully warm/hot:eek: SAK Guy, aka Robert (haven't heard from Robert in over a year) showed my how the awl on a jack knife excels for those short smokes:thumbsup: So I rounded up this HJ I rec'd from Bob, aka Bigbiscuit, enjoyed my smoke on a beautiful summer night and thought of great friends and how lucky I was to have known them:thumbsup:
