Those are true tools. A fine selection for any duty.

Dang, Dean, now you've joined that SteveC SteveC in raising the bar. In fact, I had to look twice to make sure that it wasn't one his postings. Bodacious barlow!

Thanks, Steve. Just trying to keep up with the high-steppers like you, RDaneel RDaneel , joeradza joeradza , @Ickythump , et al.

- Stuart
Ha! I love a challenge. Now that I have new eyesight maybe my colors and exposures will be better.

Thank's. Actually I did something I thought I would do with the nessmuk. The modification is small, but makes a difference for me. I lovered the hump slightly for a better tip. A real do it all knife.

The Enzo Elver is wood carver par excellence and Opinel is what it is, good edc.

So many remarkable knives posted here since I last visited, but I won't have time (or space) to remark on all of them. :(

Carried my two newest today.

I have never been a huge Stockman fan, but this one I really enjoy!
...
That's a dandy, Leslie, with the slender serpentine shape, round bolsters, and script shield! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: Eye-catching color on the covers, too; what does Case call that?

First-rate photo of an old friend of yours, FBC! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

A Victorinox Cadet Alox for me today.

A Vic Cadet is such a grand, likable knife! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Handsome pair, Jack; it's good to see that Unity lambsfoot getting its turn to spend some time with your latest Ancient! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

83 today on a very nice Bison leather pouch the late Big Biscuit very kindly gave me :cool:

Impressive subjects in your photo, Will! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: The stag on your 83 is outstanding, your slip from Bob is a fine memento, and that amber jigged bone Case stockman is a desirable model.

#79 Workhorse Ebony :)

Your Workhorse is a real thoroughbred, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Totin these today...

Three absolute classics, Jeff! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup: Do you have more than one modified Camillus TL-29? The wood looks much darker on this one than what i think I remember.

That's a jaw-droopingly good-looking knife, Travman! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Kudos on an excellent photo of a laudable old knife, Gev! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I don't carry this one much. A little large and a little small at the same time.

Looks quite marvelous to me, Jer! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I have a humpback stockman that's a favorite.

Definitely not being sarcastic about the tie. I would absolutely wear it. Paisley is my favorite pattern.
Thanks, GT. BTW, I like and have several paisley ties (though I'm not a clothes horse, more of a clothes donkey). ... That Buck canoe is worthy of a compliment, also. Very nice.
- Stuart
Thanks for the paisley props, guys! :):thumbsup: And thanks, Stuart, for noting my canoe. :)

...
Thanks Gary! I really like your Buck Canoe. I bought one on clearance at Wally World the other day. It's okay for the money buy your is mucho nicer! :D
...
Thanks, Ron. :) About a month ago, on @afishhunter's recommendation, I picked up one of the canoes you described, I think. Does yours look like this?
walmart.canoe.mark.closed.jpg

Thanks for the laugh, my day :D
:thumbsup::cool: I live to serve, Ted! ;)

That's a noble Knife, Nick! :eek::eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Optimal cattle knife, Paul T.!! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

...
Thank you, Gary! The second blade is quite small, but is useful.

Your Buck Canoe is quite striking in that rustic environment.
I didn't know all the guys were getting Buck Canoes!!! I'm off to BigMart…:D;)

But before I go, today's carry is a Case Teardrop.

Thanks for the info about your teardrop pen blade and for the canoe compliment, Dean. :)
Peerless chestnut bone teardrop! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: What are the greens you're harvesting?

Now that’s not true!
I have a couple of Laminate trees out back.
Right by the ply trees.
:D:D

Maybe encourage or assist the patina. Why force it?
:D:D

Here is a unique knife that I really enjoy carrying. It was made by South African Tim LaCombre. Extremely tight construction with a pinchable stainless blade and incredibly strong spring. The handle is African Monkey Apple Tree. The knife is built like a tank. The powerful spring makes it almost feel like a locking knife. You are definitely well equipped with this one.
...
That's a rapturous, distinctive knife, Leslie!! :cool::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

5K Qs 5K Qs Well-played! I couldn’t read that without singing it in my head!

And, your Buck Canoe looks great! :thumbsup:
Thanks for noticing both my vague musical allusion and my Buck canoe, @Ratbert !! :)

So the Mrs asked me if I’d cut up the pineapple yet? “What pineapple?” Says I.

“The one I told you 3 days ago to cut up.” Says she. Not content to leave well enough alone and one to poke the sleeping bear I ask, “... and what would you suggest I use to cut it up with?”

I shoulda known better, she comes back with the Fletcher Knives Custom Karniboro Cleaver I won last year in a USA MADE Blades give away.

She drops it on the cuttin’ board and says, “Why don’t you use your custom cleaver?”

That was a great idea. The Karniboro is so knicely balanced and has enough forward weight to precisely chop through the joint of a chicken thigh and the high hollow grind makes slicing and dicing a pleasure.

My cleaver before this was a 6-7 lb vintage butcher’s cleaver from the 1920s-40s and was capable of cutting cattle in two with little to no effort.

The Karniboro was like the difference between driving a Stanley Steamer over an F-type Jaguar, no comparison. CPM154 steel with natural canvas micarta scales.

Thank you, Gary! The greens in the photo are the results of my wife's plant pruning. Before she tossed them, I took a photo. I thought it would make a good background. :)

Yes it has! That is definitely one of the best Cougar Clawed examples I have seen! :)
The Clawed bone ages well, I can't wait to see how others examples will turn out with time. I thought it looked kinda funky when new but once that excess dye or char wore off I liked it. Reminds me of some of the old Winterbottom :)
