What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It’s a British Invasion

Enjoy the day, folks!
Ohta WT and a Laguiole for me on this cool, cloudy Sunday.

Great-looking knives gents :)

.......... I have been vacillating on a knife purchase for three days now, trying to convince myself I don’t need another scout :).

I know what you mean. Every time one of these enablers around here posts a pic in the "Case Bose Collab" thread, I have to spend three days convincing myself that I don't need one of those Case/Bose stockmans.

That’s wonderful news Leslie! That Case Barlow will be a treasured heirloom indeed! None better in my opinion! :)

Show off!! :p  :D

I’m carrying this souvenir today! Have a blessed Sunday!

Show off? Come on now. Isn’t that a little like the kettle calling the pot black.

Beautiful knife there Ron. I think you have a thing for red knives.

Someone dubbed this day as "old friends Friday," so I am carrying my first and longest carried EDC. I carried this one from the mid-80s to the mid-90s (it did not get hard use).

...
That 897UH is such a quintessential stockman, Dean (and the Staglon is classic, too)!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Ingenious pocket slip there, GT! I'm digging the toasted marshmallow-y stag on your Trapper. Thank you for the kind words, my friend.
Thanks pal :)

LOL! :D Hard to believe you're still using that bubble-wrap as a slip GT! :D
...
Thanks, Shawn. :)

Thanks, GT. Like this one? (Please excuse the non-sunny Wester Bros. whittler.)

...
Thanks for the kind comments, GT, and the culinary explanation. It makes perfect sense in that light. I like the MOTS clad Imperial.
- Stuart
Thanks, Stuart; I like that MOTS Imperial as well as almost any of my knives. :) And, yeah, that yellow toothpick is exactly what I'm talking about! Who made it? Does it have more than one blade? If so, which blade gets the liner lock?

I'm not sure yet, the hemlock is new to me so that will have to wear off before I can tell which I like better for use. I bought a hemlock long before the ebony but intended to keep it mint from the get go, so now I have two.

There are some things I like better on one than the other. Time will tell.
Thanks for the info. :) I hope you have fun deciding which Calf Roper you like better!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

My most carried over the past year is with me again today.
Case-MT-Rocks.jpg
Those mini trappers are outstanding knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Lol! You crack me up and I love reading your comments GT. You’re right, it kinda does.

One that’s not older than me today.
Thanks, Nick. :) Your knife today is cool; how about more details, please? Looks like a copperhead frame, but the clip pivots on the opposite end from the other blade? What shape is the second blade? Maker?

What am I looking at here??

Thanks, GT! That MoTS Imperial looks mighty useful.:)
...
Thanks, @Spaten; the MOTS Imperial is one of my favorite knives, partly for nostalgia and partly because it cuts (and sharpens) so well!:)

Black Friday, meet Snack Friday:
I like the dark-handled Opinel; stain?:cool::cool: Is that summer sausage? I just returned home from a 2-week vacation during which I ate a summer sausage sandwich every day! :p

Thank you, Gary! Your RR stag trapper is gorgeous!:thumbsup::)
Thanks, Dean. :) That's one of 4 stag RRs I was able to buy recently from black mamba black mamba after secretly coveting them for years!

...
I'm heading out early in the morning, but I'll have these two with me, an A.Wright Lambsfoot in sambar stag, and a Thiers-Issard Violon in stag-bone :) Have a great weekend folks

Lovely well-matched pair, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That French spearpoint has stag bone covers?? That's perhaps the most stag-like stag bone I can remember!!:cool::thumbsup:

Black Friday carry.
Both knife and song rate high in my opinion, Ken!!:cool::thumbsup: All my life, I was only waiting for this moment to arise. ;)

Was unable to get any new pictures taken today but : Carried these 2 today

Harry
Fantastic traffic light pair, Harry!:thumbsup::thumbsup: That green gets me going, and the red makes me stop and take notice! ;)

Drop-dead gorgeous knife, @Grateful !! :eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...
In the meantime the ebony 35 with the stag lockback whittler.
View attachment 967956
That's a pair that definitely works for me, Alan!:cool::thumbsup: The ebony Churchills are instant classics IMHO, and that stag whittler keeps getting better!

Might have to do some yard work later today! ;)

That knife should let you take care of the yard work and look great doing it, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

Case XX USA stag stockman and bone Teardrop.

Delectable pair, Dean, almost like strawberries and cream!:cool::thumbsup:

Ulster Barlow today

Barlow bonanza!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Ryu with me today for baby girls birthday tea party. My wife goes a bit overboard. About to go chop some ham and make some pig in the blankets.
View attachment 968005
Happy birthday to her, @SVTFreak ! :):thumbsup::thumbsup: And I don't think you can go overboard for your little girl's birthday! My "baby girl" turns 30 next week, and I'd still probably make a big deal of it except she's moving to Minneapolis this week. :(

Great carries GT! Yikes, I only have the one Camillus  :). I really like the Remington scouts @Buzzbait posts with the saw, those look like the perfection of the pattern to me but I haven’t seen one in person.

I have an oddball scout with me today, a “French ivory” Winchester. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Great to see that "oddball" again, Tom; I really like that French Ivory version you have!:cool::thumbsup:

...
I’m hanging out in the woods today so I thought I’d pack along a Lumberjack...

Whoa, I gotta find me one of those!!:cool::thumbsup: Does the saw cut well for you, @315 ?

These three, of which the newest one was produced in the 1940's
MH, you sure have some first-rate vintage users!!!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Got my chores all done for the day. Got a shower and made me and my wife a big ole protein smoothie for supper! I slipped this Sambar Teardrop in my pocket to tide me over until bedtime! ;)

Superior stag teardrop, Ron! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Here are a couple of knives I always carry: a Case CV chestnut jigged bone SBJr that I won in a BigBiscuit GAW and a white smooth bone Rough Rider small stockman that @r8shell scrimshawed and gifted me.
