“They always need brine tasters.”

Now that’s a whittler to be Thankful for!
Hope to see more of that one my friend.
You bet that I am thankful for getting this one !!!! The guy wanted $80 but I only wanted to pay $40 . He wanted my money more than he wanted the knife !:):D . I just can not find enough nice Robesons like this though .
Take care my friend . We hope that you and your family have a great Thanksgiving and that your Son & Grandson have safe travels .

I thought you might like to see this old Dadley from Joseph Rodgers (from the first decade of the 20th Century)

Edit - Here's a video, folks might like :)

No sir Dylan, you did not put me to sleep. Without your postings I would have missed this, what a great rendition of a tool designed by one of the (I believe) two most influential people in American bush crafting. The other being “Nessmuk”.
I’m going to have put this on my short list.

Pàdruig Pàdruig ~ Thanks for details on your So Much More Than a Green River!
Interesting reading.
Enjoy that knife- I know I would.

Thank you, fellas, for enduring my ramblings, I am happy that they were of some interest.
Thank you, Jack, for the video as well as the pictures of that very interesting Dadley. I love it!

Right now, it is a bit damp outside but still managed to snap a pic of what's in my pocket. I hope everyone has a terrific Thanksgiving, or at least those of you who celebrate it. Otherwise, have a terrific day!

Did your daughter's gratitude for getting to hunt with you inspire her to volunteer to run the dishwasher (for perhaps the VERY FIRST time)??:thumbsup::D Her heart's in the right place!

Thank you my friend :) Raining here too :(

I'm about to get a shave, and hit the hay before an early start tomorrow, so thought I'd post tomorrow's carry today. Once again, I hope all my US friends have a very happy Thanksgiving

Satisfying sawcut striations on that Ancient, Dean!:cool::thumbsup:

Excellent selection for you, too, Vince!:thumbsup::cool: I have my selection in each of these categories that I carry for a week at a time: Alox, non-Alox SAK, Stockman, Canoe Plain, Canoe Fancy, Bailed non-SAK, International, Watch Pocket, Big, Miscellaneous, Peanut-ish, Stag/Horn, Lambsfoot. And then I often grab one or two "free choice" knives for the week.
So I guess that adds up to 19 knives for the week (but that's a lot like the 2 or 3 per day that many members carry, at least in terms of total knives for the week ). Of that group of knives, 2 are suspended in LFP and 1 is in bottom of LFP, 1 is on key ring in RFP, and 3 are in watch pocket, 1 is in a nylon pouch with my bus pass in a small pocket on outside right leg of carpenter pants and another is in the "tool pocket" on pantleg. The other 8 are in a fanny pack that hangs on the oven door at home, or on the arm of my desk chair at work, and I only wear it while commuting.

Thank you for the kind comment on my TC, Gary! I enjoyed reading your paragraph on how your knife carry system works. I can visualize your day better now. It is a lot of steel to carry!

Your Marbles Handyman's Helper is a meter long knife! Wow, that's even more steel to carry. :) Seriously, it is a neat knife.
