Thanks Sitflyer...its one of my favs.

I have wanted a swayback jack for sometime as it just looks like a great EDC.

MT Danascus...your knives are just magnificent. I bet the fly fishing is spectacular too.

Danny, what's the edge on this one, about 12 per side? Looks REAL nice!

I never bothered to check it before, but now that you ask, it turns out to be around 11 per side. I wasn't originally trying to get it that thin, I was just really frustrated with the butterknife Queen edge that was on it. The pen blade was easy to get sharp since it's so much thinner to start out with. I was having a heck of a time with the main blade though. I finally just took it to the belt sander and really leaned into it, so to speak. I had made up my mind that I didn't care how much steel I had to remove, I was going to get this thing sharp! Now it's much easier to maintain and the cutting performance is better also.

The pen is still my preference for cardboard or other materials that have a lot of drag on the blade. Here's a quick and dirty cell pic to show the difference in thickness of the blades.

Vanguard, nice jack, which pattern is that, looks like a cigar jack.

Hi bemo!

That´s a GEC Tidioute #66 Serpentine Jack in Green Jigged Bone (I have the same knife ;) ). Absolutelly great knife :)

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks Andi, that pattern ticks the boxes for me and I've been trying to decide what GEC I'm going to get (although I do have a bullnose, it's not a EDC for me).

And Finedges, those are beautiful scales!

Three actually, but not at the same time.

As always, carried the Wadsworth sleeveboard pen to church this morning.

I started off this afternoon, with big pockets on my cargo shorts, carrying the Case slimline trapper.

Now that I've taken up the traditional of the month challenge, I have the Craftsman stockman in my pocket.
