Good day to bake. This was in my pocket.

They both look tasty!

I started my 2nd year of retirement this morning! I highly recommend it! ;) I felt it appropriate to carry these two Cases today. The Red Bone is one I bought shortly after I started work in 1973. The Case Norfolk is the knife my wonderful wife gifted me when I retired. :D

Two for me today. The Camillus army engineer knife as usual, along with an Imperial navy general utility knife that arrived yesterday. The Imperial is going to need a lot of TLC. It's seen a hard life, and the previous owner tried to "clean it up".

I have a Camillus navy knife arriving this afternoon, which I hope it's in better condition than the Imperial.

One of my favorite chores in the morning is picking what knives I’ll be carryin’ for the foreseeable aka “immediate” future.

Those choices may even change throughout course of my day but usually the traditional knives I picked that morning ride in my pockets till I put ‘em back into the box and pick another.

I really enjoy reminiscing about the forum knives, the voting, the waiting and the knives themselves so every day I’ll pick another knife from the box to carry in my pocket alongside the current year’s knife.

The Mrs says I’m worse than most women picking out jewelry before going out for the night. :Ds

They’ve weathered the years knicely :). I love pieces like this, they show those knives were supposed to look like. They show how they’re supposed to wear and age with common sense care and use. We’re just curators of future relics right now but that’s no reason not to enjoy ‘em while we got ‘em right? ;)

In honor of Boker's birthday.
A Boker barlow.
Gut messer, ja

I’ll always love Boker’s blade etches from the turn of century, they remind of the old crocus hand finish from the 20s-40s
