Part of the reason I like the gec 66 stockman so much is because of its inspiration (in my opinion at least) from the schrade walden 890 stockman. This particular 890 is short on all blades and the peachseed is worn but the similarities are still noticeable to me, especially with the nicer 890's that I have. Naturally the older schrade is a much more slim knife in the width of the handle, but it also has the double brass liner on the pile side just like the 66 that keeps them from having to krink the blades as much, which is a good thing.

Vintage Rogers (Sheffield) Easy to photograph, but difficult to convey the holographic effect that the gold bits present.

The first pic shows its beauty and the second has the depth of a lava flow.

- apologies for posting this same slippie again as few days ago, it is such a great piece of work - thank you once again, Mr Dowell

We may be impressed with your Dowell Paul, but I don't your cat has much use for it.

@Half/Stop Thanks very much Ron, the Carved Stagbone series is generally very high calibre in my experience, like them a lot. By co-incidence, I was using a Queen City this evening, one that you very kindly gave to me, great gesture my friend, always appreciated:cool::thumbsup:

Regards, Will
