What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful knife Dwight

Next to the Camillus today is a GEC-manufactured Smith & Sons Mudbug in natural canvas micarta. The GEC sodbusters tend to get a lot of love around here, but I never see much about the Mudbug.

There is usually a Mudbug run about once per year, and it often gets tagged onto a GEC Farm & Field run. I much prefer the Mudbug over the standard sodbusters though, as the Mudbug has a nice strong back lock, and the steel frame seems to have very little flex when squeezing it. Smith & Sons also goes the extra mile, and puts their own edge on each Mudbug, so they always ship wicked sharp.

The Mudbug used to have a sheath option when buying it, but I think it may just come standard now. Either way, the sheath should definitely be purchased. It's actually a nice quality leather sheath, made in-house I believe, works very well, and is not one of those "token gesture sheaths" that often come with knives.

Very interesting Buzz, looks like a great knife, and a very well-made sheath

Got a nice leather pouch to carry this one in:

Handmade polished stag navaja from @ArtesaniaHerreros in Albacete, Spain. The leather pouch from A. G. Russell Knives.
Nice slip there, Vince
Good idea to protect your navaja

Yesterday was my baby boys 2nd birthday. So I carried what will be his knife. I had to let him hold it a bit. @Jsega51

It's an ebony 48 improved trapper from the first run. A gift during a hard time from Jake and we learned that baby boy was coming.

Today, back to this one. It seems to be the go-to nearly all the time anymore. The s30v gets and stays light saber sharp and the blades are bigger than the size would let you think. And the stag is wonderful in my opinion. And it wasn't so expensive that I'm afraid to use it.

A knife-nut in the making! :)
Beautiful Warren

Not wasting any time. My 5 and a half month old granddaughter.
Great photo! Just keep it away from the local child protective agency, lol!

Trying out a double pocket slip still. I have never used slips, but like the idea of carrying more than 1 knife. This slip is very stiff, hoping it breaks in a bit. The knives are hard to get out right now.

Joey, that’s one way to keep him away from the Cobra keys, distract him with a nice knifeo_O

Funny you say that. Every time he sees me walking to the shop, he comes running "daddy! Drive! Zebra! Feel it!". (He says feel it when he wants to get on or in something. And drove to him mea 's sit in my lap behind the wheel).
