What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Stuart, I appreciate the nice words. I like the MALCO you’re toting, looks like it’ll handle anything thrown at it.

That Malco duct knife looks a lot like an Old Hickory sticker.

Thanks, guys, and, yes, I thought it was an Old Hickory before I cleaned off the crud. It is a sturdy knife.

Whittler today

Lots of chocolate in those covers, Will. Love it.

Western destiny, Dwight.

Grabbed the dock yesterday when I was getting into the boat lift, got rewarded with a big old splinter in my finger. Used the clip blade on this Case 63027 to remove it, so I'll carry the knife a few days (nice watchpocket knife). OH

Nice 027, OH, and sorry for the splinter (and apologies for re-naming you in my last post).

My Camillus today is joined by an old Case Pocket Worn medium stockman that I purchased about 20 years ago.

That's a handsome Case, Buzz.

Here’s my carry today:

Staggering display, Joshua.

Mine today

That wood is on fire, Jack!!

Great composition and picture, Harvey. Pretty fine knife, too.

A coffin of dreams, Alan.

Camillus Tip Top Barlow (WW II era)

It's top notch, Dean.

Green and yeller, makes a happy feller!

Makes me green with envy.

Yes, I’m influenced by peers.

Me, too!!

These 2 today while we run around here and there after the YMCA in the morning .

Those are sweet, Harry.

A Case for the blending of botanical beauties.

Well said, Dwight. Thanks.

Carried this Mike Zscherny Stag Barlow in my pocket all day traveling around northern Minnesota in meetings. Check out the fit in the third pic - the Z man really knows what he’s doing!

That's tight!

I hope everyone has a Good Friday. :)

You, too, pal. Pretty pair.

Totin' my Camillus #12 today

SW 8OT today

Those are both beauties, Steve. Well done, pal.

Great pictures, Jeff, and fine looking knives. Good work.

Forum Friends Friday!

Boy, those are nice!!

I hesitate to name inanimate objects, but I kind of like calling this one 'ol patchy.

I like Old Peachy.

Fabulous picture, Harvey. Again.

I don’t remember seeing another one posted here, it wasn’t mine. Yes it’s a great pattern, I love sleeveboards and it’s a great size, not too big or too small. Here’s mine I’m toting today that I got not too long ago.

Looks great to me, Nick. Thanks for sharing.

Case XX 1940 to 1964 Redbone Texas Jack. The bottom knife is a current production Chestnut Jigged Bone CV version that I sold to Jeff @black mamba. The new ones are very nice. They feel slightly heavier and more substantial than the old boys. It is extremely impressive that Case has managed to produce such consistent knives for more than 100 years! I hope you enjoy it Jeff.

Thanks for the comparisons and the great pics. Now, I gotta find some $$.

The Coast lives in my purse and the little Richards Scout hangs out in the side pocket of my change purse.

Those nail nicks are pretty cool.

Love that Case (it is really fine), but that coffin will be the death of me.

Busy, busy day. I carried the Camillus and my Case beer trapper.

Buzz, thank for getting me on the Case beer trapper train.

Thank you, Stuart!

D Duckdog Thanks Stuart! Love that Primble you have today. Great pattern and even greater bone! I really like pen knives and stockmans and your knife is like a cross between them. Looks like a nice carry size. What is the length?

Old friends Friday carry: I found this guy in a forgotten box this morning and have been giving him some sunshine all day. John Primble Belknap Hdwe & Mfg (1940-1968) 4995 double-end jack, Böker made. Dang, these are solid knives.

Stuart that’s some beautiful bone on your Primble, a wonderful knife my friend! That is quite a rabbit hole you keep pulling all these beauties out of! :)

Thanks, guys. Nick, it is 3 1/2" inches closed. Bernard Levine notes that these double-end jacks are like their smaller pen cousins and unlike most jacks, which have all blades on one end (except for multiblades). This one is on the smaller side. It is a great carry size and weight, and solid. Ron, there are a few more rabbits in the hole. I'm just slow at pulling them out.

That's a cool pic Kevin, but the shots of yours I really like aren't the outdoor ones, they're the ones on your bench, great to see a knife that's been used :)

I should be fishing today! Too much work needed around the casa.
These two along for the day.

View attachment 1114209 Sticking with the little Klein slicer again. It proved it’s worth on several occasions yesterday as I plugged in the soldering iron and finally got this guitar finished.

I started this overhaul two years ago.I was spraying the lacquer on this guitar on July 25, 2017, when I went in to check on my son and found he had passed. Kind of lost interest in it for a year and a half.
So this guitar will always be a Resurrection Guitar to me ~ not just because I finished it on Easter weekend, but because of reborn hope and joy of living. And the $99 pawn shop Squier rose from the pile ‘o dead parts.:D
