What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

In honor of Charlie...
Charlie helped me identify the model number for this knife, and he dubbed it the Half Stockman. I always think about Charlie when I look at this knife, and I think about his humor and how he has helped so many of us. Today I will carry this knife in his honor and send him all the good wishes I can muster. Get well soon Charlie.

On a hike today when we came across this very old accident in the woods. It seemed apropos to include one of Charlie's Ancient Barlows in a photo with the old jalopy (as well as an Orchard Gem).

Someone was probably using that old truck to drag logs out, and never made it back.
I am feeling lustful towards Orchard Gems and Charlie’s Ancient Barlow lately. Both patterns were different enough that it took me a little longer to appreciate them. Now that they’ve gotten my attention, the attraction is becoming irresistable.

Decided it was time to root out this individual. Böker lockback in Washboard Bone, the thin ground carbon blade is a magnificent slicing apparatus :D:cool:

Enjoy the gateway to the week-end ;)

Woah!!! Tell me more about this knife. Any idea when it was made? I'm all about beautiful bone and thin grinds.

Just a Remington reissue for me today. But it has so many useful implements, I feel like I have "all bases covered" as soon as it slips into my pocket. Such an amazing knife.

Thanks, Duckdog. r8shell's Home for Old and Wayward Knives is doing what it can for these old guys. :D
Today's centenarian is a Terrier, with perhaps the coolest tang stamp of all time.

Very cool indeed.
Almost as cool as a Hammer Brand tang stamp!

At least on a par with a Taylor's Eye Witness stamp.:D

I love that old girl, BTW.

I agree Ron, as do a number of our fellow Guardians it seems :) That's a fine pair :)

Morning folks, the weekend is almost upon us ;) I'm carrying these two today. Me and Charlie have been swapping packages across the Pond for years now, but this is the first Barlow he gifted me, the first of many I have to say :) I put him a card in the post yesterday, and am hoping that by the time it reaches him, he'll be running around doing cartwheels again :)

Jack, thanks for the compliment my friend! :) You have a beautiful duo today. That’s truly a special TC! :)

I’m mixing my carries today with a #79 Workhorse Whittler in Ebony and #14 TC with Smooth Ivory Bone. :)

"Washboard bone" is a currently available offering from Boker.
I love it. This barlow of mine is from AG Russell.

@RDaneel That old truck in the woods is cool. Here's one near me. I thought it was the same truck at first and we might be neighbors!
