What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Really nice pair, that fixed looks like it makes a great slicer. But what's this "to sharp" you speak of? ;)

Thanks David! I am baffled by that expression as well, but she tends to brush off my attempts at explaining the virtues of a sharp edge with something like “whatever knife nerd”. Then continues sawing vegetables with a steak knife .

Late getting on the Porch. I toted these today, a "black box" Winchester 2904 and Gary Cunningham (Sylva, NC) small caper that I recently picked up from Gary. The hollow grind on the blade takes it from a really sturdy spine to a very fine edge. A beautiful day here in the Old Dominion.

Cool combo Stuart, great lines on the fixed blade

These two for me today.

Beautiful Harvey! Congratulations on your package from Jack! :)

I picked this pair for Twosday carry. Today I'm totin' a Loveless-like hunter by Leonard Corlee and a Queen model 31. I'm really liking having a fixed blade handy, so thanks to Whetstone39 Whetstone39 and r8shell r8shell and several others for inspiring me to shake off the chains of confining convention and wear my knife-nuttiness on my belt.

You already know I love that #31 Stuart, but that FB is sweet my friend! :)

Classic, Nate.:thumbsup: That is one I wished I had gotten when they came out
Thanks Dean. It's one of the nicer GEC's I've got to handle. Lot of hand fitting and work went into these grinling's. I wish they would do another run, but it seems unlikely given the difficulties they had the first time.

Looks like you're having a great time Stuart :)

Morning folks, hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend :) I'm carrying these two today

I was, Jack, and thinking about going back tomorrow. I love your lovely piano keys.

Great picture, Dave, That Böker copperhead!!

Sweet!

Totin' a Remington on this fine sunday

That's gorgeous, Steve, knife and picture.

Excellent, Harvey.

But man- this 72 was stubborn. It took about a full hour of Live PD to get some semblance of respectable sharpness.

Last night, I soldered up the speakers and finished mounting everything on my resurrection project of this ‘76 Fender Pro Reverb.

I admire your perseverance, Jeff. A "full hour of PD Live" - Lol !! Your amp project is a winner, pal, and your buddy's cabinet work is spot-on.

Dandy duo of imports, Stuart!:thumbsup::cool:

Have fun, Stuart, and I hope you do some catching, as well! ;):cool:

Thanks, GT, and, yes, it was fun. I may be going back out, but was glad to be ashore when you popped back up on this section of the Porch.

Lots of fine knives and pics!
Have a peaceful Sunday, folks!

Simply staggering, Gary.

With them bolsters, that could be a barlockman.

Well said and thanks.

There’s only the one today! But, it’s a GEM! ;)

It sure is, Ron, and it is enough on its own.

D Duckdog That’s a real neat stockman Stuart. I like seeing non gents type patterns covered in pearl. I’ve never seen that Fight’n Rooster stamp before. Oh, and those bolsters...

A Robeson for me today.

Thanks, Nick, and I hadn't seen that stamp before, either. A very handsome old Robeson you have there, pal.

Todays carry : I only carry Stag on days that end in a "Y "

I can see Y, Harry. Nice stuff.

John Lloyd fish shield zulu.

Maybe I can hook one of those on my next fishing adventure.

Hope y’all have a great Monday! :)

Dandy duo, Ron.

A brilliant pairing, Dwight. I really like the Tapadero and enjoyed Dave's (@Horsewright ) tutorial of the sheath making for it and its stunning sibling. You be lucky, bro!

Camillus #67

You certainly put it in a fine light, Steve.

I've been carrying this Case curved jack (loom fixer/half hawk) for the last couple of weeks because I've needed a heavy duty knife while limbing-up Juniper trees to make our place a little safer for the up-coming Wild Land Fire Season. We use a chain saw to do the limbing but a knife always comes in handy when doing chores like this.

Handsome old Case workhorse, ED. Thanks for sharing.

Boy, I like that!!!

Insomnia has me feeling pretty shattered today :( Carrying these two as a pick-me-up ;)

You probably should be counting sheep, rather than lambs, Jack. That horned lambfoot is gorgeous.

That old worker look in mighty fine shape, r8shell. Congratulations.

Just stepped out and noticed one of my favorite wildflowers is blooming

Classy classics, Jeff.

Case saddlehorn trapper in bone stag.

Very nice, Buzz, but I probably should not have seen it, as poverty is a possible penalty for gawking.

These two for Tuesday! :)

Too fine, those two!

Have a new PAL to tote

You seem to have several handsome old PALs hanging around with you, Steve.

This little blade is excellent for pruning small plants. It is very sharp from the factory. Overall excellence from Victorinox.

Stuart, that's a mighty pretty hunter you got there!

Thanks, it is wearing well today.

You already know I love that #31 Stuart, but that FB is sweet my friend! :)

Thanks, Ron.

That's a nice combo, Stuart.:thumbsup: Most of the time when I carry a small fixed blade, I keep the sheath in my pocket attached to a short lanyard looped through a belt loop. I just can't seem to get used to a belt sheath.

Very nice Rachel :)

Thank you. The N.B. Knife (New Britain) I believe dates to 1910-1930, and so may be as young as 89 years old, but all through Centenarian Week, he was nagging me to go for a ride. :p
