What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Love the Barlow and the asters. My perrenial prairie asters just phased into their full glory, and the bees are all over them.

Funny plant~all spring and summer, they look like weeds. They just keep getting taller and taller, looking weedier and weedier. I have inadvertently pulled some by mistake, but they have deep root crowns and are very hard to kill. They end up 4 to 6 feet tall, and then, when just about everything else has bloomed and faded away, all of a sudden the asters pop. Love them.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of this flowers Jeff !
I have no clue about botany but I do enjoy looking at the different flowers on my walks.
I will now appreciate this beautiful flowers much more

Well, that’s a quality quartet.
Not only that, it’s four good ‘uns.

I’ve got a new Case today. It’s a Damascus Wharncliffe Mini Trapper 6207W DAM from 2016. I’ve paired it with my Waynorth Jigged Bone Lambsfoot. Hope y’all have a great day!:D

View attachment 1203337 You can see how they are drooping over from their own weight. These stalks are 6-7 ft long. In the wild, that gets them up above the competition for pollination and seed dispersion. In the garden, I suppose they should be staked.

Totin two Craftsman knives today...View attachment 1203332View attachment 1203333 View attachment 1203334I think it’s obvious that the electrician was Camillus made, but not sure about the older stockman. In this photo, it bears strong resemblance to the Ulster made Craftsman on top, but there’s a difference in how the clip is swaged.
Also strongly resembles the Schrade 881Y. The Camillus 68 on the bottom, not so much.

Carrying two of my favorites today, my first city knife and my TC. I learned yesterday that there is a pre order for a new run of the city knife. To my knowledge it hasn’t been produced in a few years, and I am conflicted. I have several, and certainly don’t “need” another. Maybe I am finally gaining some maturity in our hobby, as I haven’t ordered one. Yet. :)

Today’s carry is a new-to-me Victorinox Soldier. This particular knife is one of the more uncommon “with keyring” versions.

That is interesting; I have never seen one of those before. Does it have a date on the blade?

Today's totes are two of my favorite patterns and examples; a pre 1952 C Johnson Barlow and a 1931-39 Remington BSA scout.:)

Fantastic! Those are a couple of treasures.:thumbsup:
