Utica Kutmaster and an American Jack today
...

Even though it's wooden Wednesday:
![]()
Steve, your Kutmaster, and Jer, your Schrade, and Gev, your PAL are such slender, sensuous, shapely knives!!...
With a little help from my Pals
![]()
I admire your "can-do" attitude!!By all rights I should post a photo of this knife daily, because no matter what I’m doing or whatever else I’m carrying a Victorinox Classic will be found on whichever key ring happens to be in my pocket.
If there were a vote for single greatest “EDC item” this would be the winner, hands down.
Combine this with a P-38 and we could re-build civilization from scratch.

That stag 93OT is sensational!!Some killer stag today.
...
Couple of stellar knives, Dean!Case Barlow and 2-blade Congress today.
...
That unpretentious knife must make you feel like an emperor when you carry it, Stuart! It's Wednesday? Again? Well, this will be my totin' totem for the rest of the day.

...
Wow, Paul, that's a stunner!A ink black ebony Maher & Grosh Texas Ranger today
...
That's the one, GT, though the others are fine canoodling canoes, too.
- Stuart
I think all three feature great scales, but have to concur with Duckdog~ the Buck is the ONE.
...
I appreciate your votes of confidence, Stuart & Jeff & JJ....
Beautiful stag on your hearty Buck canoe, Gary; very cool!![]()
Thanks, Harvey.5K Qs - A fine bevy of knives this week. I especially like your gunstock checkered canoe, GT.
Congrats on the return of the prodigal Pemberton; I can imagine you killed the fatted calf for a celebration feast!I thought my little Pemberton had jumped out of my pocket somewhere in southwestern Colorado last summer, but this evening my youngest daughter was searching for something she had dropped in my wife’s car and came up with this.
I didn’t carry this for must of the day, but I’m carrying it now. As my British friends would say, I’m chuffed.

Something old, something new, both superb. Congrats on the Eureka, JJ; you found it, for sure!My Thursday totes are a new one from GEC and an old favorite from Case; the #92 Eureka jack and a 1940-64 redbone Barlow.
...
Beautiful knife, José, and that's my very true opinion!
Simple knife that sizzles, Dave!
We just have different values, John. You're a quality guy, and I'm a quantity guy!...
Thanks, GT.
I probably have fewer total knives with me in the hotel than you carry on your person daily.![]()
Powerful pairing, John!
Get well soon, Ron!Missing out was causing me to have a hard time sleeping at first Gary! With the help of my other knives I’m slowly getting better!
![]()
You're showing an ample supply of carbon steel there, Jeff!
Thanks, Jack, for the canoe comment and for pulling out the Abbeydale Jack.Nice Canoes GT![]()
Thanks for the compliment, and for the fanfare, my friend, I always enjoy carrying it![]()
...
Thanks for the interesting Springsteen comments....
Nice song from Springsteen, but I think he sometimes sings about things he knows nothing about. For example, in Glory Days, he refers to a fastball as a "speedball." I've never heard that term in baseball; I've heard "heat," "chin music", etc. Sounds more like a drug term! Maybe it's a Jersey thing.
...
I have a RR canoe with the "Moonglow" handles; they're very cool, and I hoped maybe I could use it as a nightlight on the bedside table, but the glow doesn't really last very long before needing some sunlight to recharge it.5K Qs
The one I have is glow in the dark, I forgot to mention it. Its more yellow than green in direct light, but in certain light its more green. Maybe in low light the glow effect starts to come out....
This is in full dark![]()
Royals fan, eh?Thanks for remembering my Blues-themed knife combinations GT! Oddly enough, although I am a native son of St. Louis, I am a Royals fan. This causes much confusion for my friends and family who are Cardinal fans. To their credit, when I wear Royals gear to a Cardinals game I am merely treated with a sort of mild neglect, and am mostly ignored.
...
Thanks, Harvey.
I gain weight just looking at your fine photographs, Harvey!
I appreciate your high praise for my canoes, Dean, and I'm glad your communication options are back to normal.Gary, your trio of Canoes this week are all stellar; the RR gunstock with the checkered bone is always a favorite when you post it.Additionally, the Buck stag is also a special one.
Thank you, Gary! They replaced my iPhone so all is good on that front.![]()
I don't have a pattern like that, but that BF Congress Jack sure is elegant!I carried my Forum Congress Jack on my walk-in-the-woods today.
...
Amen, Brother Taylor!...
Two classic patterns
Congrats on the rare Soldier!Today’s carry is a new-to-me Victorinox Soldier. This particular knife is one of the more uncommon “with keyring” versions.

Dang Stuart!I chose some old friends for Old Friends Friday, an Aerial and a Crucible. They watched me finish a marathon deck cleaning project, clipped a celebratory cigar or two, accompanied me to my weekly watering hole gathering, and cut the foil cap on our dinner wine at home. Truly helpful.

Those key knives are so cool! Did your grandfather use it as a spare key? I found an un-cut one at a flea market, and I wish I could use it, but I have one of those new-fangled push button starters. This was my Grand fathers Hammer Brand 1950s GM Key Knife. Cleaned it up and sharpened it today. Even opened a box at work lol.
