What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Day behind here, pics of yesterdays knives.
View attachment 1255565 View attachment 1255566 Half of yesterday I carried a LT Wright small fixed blade and a GEC large folder while spending time in the woods deer hunting. Sadly neither were needed for any field dressing chores.:(
The rest of the day I carried a RR smooth white bone copperhead and a S&M rosewood jack knife.

Your Waynorth and newly acquired Remington make for a perfect EDC.

Enjoying a post walk smoke with Linus, my constant companion.

Happy Birthday, Jeff! We’ll all be looking forward to seeing some pics of that new knife!
Thanks, Lance!
My Black Box Winchester Stockman helped me out, getting into this box of tasty goodness! View attachment 1255110
Hey! I had never realized you’re from these parts until seeing that farm ‘n barn (that’s what we call it) label.
We’re about ten miles west of the woodstock store, and about 25 miles east of the Belevedere store. They get some of my money.

Just received this custom fixed blade from Evan Miller yesterday. It is sort of my design, the inspiration being the mating of a KaBar and a Mora. I have been cutting up boxes left over from Christmas, you can see the marks on the blade lol (they will rub off with an oil cloth). This may be the beginning of a fantastic friendship :).

Love it!

Pure class!

Happy Birthday !
Thanks, Steve!
This was a bit of an impulse buy. Enjoy my BullNose, so figured the BullBuster would be a great addition...and it is, but I didn’t realize just how big this thing was. Wow.

It’s big, but not fat. I love mine ~ it’s so well made.
Thank you, sir. Theoretically, in my 34 years I could be a grandpa and I am genuinely looking forward to becoming one, but first I need to fully experience the joys and struggles of being a father.

Happy birthday! And enjoy the new knife when it comes.

Thanks, Ron!
I do not blame you for not doing that 5K!
A little exercise never killed anybody, but why take chances?
Me neither. That I know of.
:D
Oh Vince. That was good.

Another trad archery fan here, although I haven’t hunted in a few years.
A couple of years ago, I built a bowyer’s bench and started learning how to make a bow. Stuff happened and now one ‘a these days I need to get back at it!

Yeah, we’re not that far apart. I live in Tinley Park. Maybe after I’m up and around again, we could meet up at a mutual location for lunch.

As I hoped, among the bundle of bills and Christmas cards, these new favorites were in the mailbox.
I need to thank @TheChunk91 for alerting me to the auction of this Craftsman whittler. I had purposely not been shopping around or even looking, but he knew I had lusted in my heart over his Craftsman whittler. NOS still in the Schrade style plastic tube, never sharpened (I took care of that!). American quality at it’s pinnacle!

The Forum Knife? Wow! American craftsmanship is alive and well!View attachment 1255585View attachment 1255586

Home finally, after eight days in Colorado spending Christmas with our son and family. It was so much fun watching the 3&1/2 yr grandson and all his excitement. The 4 mo old grand daughter is a bit young to grasp it all, but she melts this guy’s heart.

So. After enduring a week of looking at all of the new 2019 Blade Forum GEC knives, I am hoping that our mailman has mine in the big stack of held mail.
Today’s my birthday, so I like how that works out!
In the meantime, my Bull Buster will do.View attachment 1255015

Thanks for the comment AF, good to meet another traditional archery fan. Making and hunting with primitive bows and arrows is a hobby of mine for around 25 years, knife collecting just started a few years ago for me.
If you get the itch to build a self bow again get in touch with me and I'll help ya make some shavings. Seeing the last post from The Fort I think we're all fairly close, Im' in Aurora. Beware though as bow making can become as addictive as knife collecting.:)
