Herzlichen Glückwunsch zur Geburt Ihrer neuen Tochter!! :):cool::cool::thumbsup:
(I saw your knife photo with the German Bible recently, so I thought I'd try to use a Google translator to express my congratulations.)

Thank you, GT. Your wishes and effort are much appreciated. Luckily my german is not that rusty to get your message. The bible is not german though. It was printed in 1860 in Christiania (what Oslo/Norway was called until 1877) when Danes were still ruling Norway, so I recon it is old Danish and at the same time old Norwegian, since they became very interconnected at that time.

Fresh from Wilfred Works. Happy New Year everyone!

I am loving that bladeshape!

Three that really hit home with me. A novelty baseball folder with Mickey Mantle (my all time favorite). Pitchers and catchers report in 42 days. My Schrade wire jack obsession featuring a large hawkbill. And one of my favorite traditional folders, the Case Bose lockback whittler which I carry but haven't used.

That case is a looker and a special one as far as I can say.

As on most days Queen Victorinox is in my RFP...

Once again Happy New Year porch folk!

I hear you! Somehow I cannot get myself to carry mine.

I cant decide what to start of 2020 with. The knife I want to carry all year shows up in the mail tomorrow. So today and tomorrow morning will probably see the 55 in my pocket.

I was looking over my collection today and took a group wharncliffe photo. The 55 is the heavily used bone knife in the center :D

I hope I will be able to get my hands on a talon like yours someday!

Emergency room. When I signed in, they said it would be a least two hours.

But they got me triaged and admitted in less that ten minutes. EKG, Xrays, CT Scans, blood work... yikes.View attachment 1257911

Should I be nervous?

No reason to be nervous as long as you have such a great company with you! Recover soon, Jeff!

Just perfection, imo. The quintessential, classic pocket knife.

Rainy, dreary day here with my newest acquisition, CV Chestnut Swayback Gent. Case has been really impressive to me lately. Blade is dead center, walk and talk are great, great pull strength, good dye job on the bone. The only flaw is a little bit of light peaking through the liner in one spot. ETA: It also appears that the very tip was scorched during production. I'll see if it causes any problems, but I'm not overly concerned.

I agree! It is my first Case knife, a recent acquisition and its great! I said it before, that this knife can take on any of my GEC knives and come out favourably. My only nitpicks are, that the shield could be sunken more, grind on the very tip could be more symetrical and that the edge could be straighter. But otherwise great, great knife. And usefull too!

That is some gorgeous Bull Buster.

I am still enjoying my Case Sway Back Gent, but seeing so much love for the stockman pattern makes me feel wierd for never owning one. Which knife should I get for my first (and potentialy last) stockman? I prefer knives about 3.5 - 3.75 inch closed.
