I slipped this GEC Powderhorn back into my pocket today. I find myself carrying it more and more often these days. It is suited to rugged use and the upswept butt of the knife allows it to be carried easily in a pocket.

A little bit of an oddball setup for me today. This is what happens when I dig through my watch and knife collection for something a little 'different'.

Okay that didn't last long. I switched to my yella peanut for the rest of the day.

Keeping it kinda simple today with the yellow peanut and Mag Solitaire. I think the solitaire is the peanut of the flashlight world. It might not be the biggest or the best, but its enough to get the job done the majority or the time. I stole the jute twine idea from someone else's post. I'll give it a go a see if it proves useful.

I don't think you realize how useful it will be; I use mine all of the time.

My girlfriend just took this photo of her 57 I gave her last Christmas along with her first attempt at carving. She is working with walnut and attempting to whittle our pup. My 76 in there to show what traditionals WE are toting :)

Still a work in progress, but she wanted me to post this picture:

Very close to my setup, I use my jute twine, all the time, comes in handy, keep doors open, I tie back branches shore fishing around lake, start fires, lashing, truss boxes that blow apart, extra guy lines for tent, shoe lace on hiking boots once, etc.

I have been going back and forth between my GEC ebony 85 and S&M heritage ebony...both are starting to develop a nice patina.

Got both of these in the mail this week...cant wait to put them into the rotation. Just picked up a GEC 85 in green briar bone...should arrive next week. Love that 85 series.
