I did notice the notches and assumed they were made for some purpose but had no idea why . Thanks for the insight my friend .Started examining the first two Russells...I see notches on one, from what I understand those typically indicate a knife that was commonly used in kosher food prep, making sure certain tools only processed certain foodstuffs (e.g., one knife for cheese and another for meat). I don’t remember what number of notches identify what use the knife is limited to but kind of cool to see on a beautiful old Barlow.
Gevonovich - Most kind of you, Gev. I always take my time to study your images, looking for the hidden meaning.

REDMEADOW ~ Very impressive looking knife! And the blued steel and walnut on the 94 is out of this world.
Thanks Dylan! You’ve got another wonderful group of subjects and a beautiful photo today.

Nice ensemble Dylan! I like the skinner and am a sucker for an old '94!
Thank you Gev. It’s a mini pry bar/opener/bit holder/pendant, from a custom knife maker. D2 steel. Punches above its’ weight. Just a beautifully designed little keychain EDC gewgaw. This was from his original design. I could never figure out why it’s called power tool, but I like that name. I have a thing for little pry bars.Tell me about the power tool? Great photo and Robeson
Thank you very much Dylan . Much appreciated .Wonderful pair of Barlows, Harry! I particularly like the older one, the relieved spines on the blades is a very nice touch.
I have a handful with me today.
