Mid-day swap. Stopped and checked out a yard sale on the way to the supply house this morning. Found this little beauty tossed in a box with about 30 beat up knives marked $5.00 each.
Paid my 5 spot and cleaned it up over lunch. Was a freaking mess. Actually had dirt in the well. 20 mins with a paper towel, some flitz, wd40, air compressor and a couple drops of 3in1 reveals a knife that was obviously carried but other then the dirt I can find no evidence it was used. I want to tell you that I just love that knife of yours. I saw it first several years ago when you posted it and I showed it to my daughter and she was just enamored with it. It turned out to be the first knife hunt we went on together to find her one. She thought it was just grand that other girls liked knives. It is a prized part of what is now her pretty nice traditional collection. So thank you For inspiring my little girl and helping me make memories with her. View attachment 1344586

Thanks Harry and good morning, hope you're up early and taunting those pesky tree rats good.
It does have some good stag on the mark side but kinda plain on the pile side.

I am afraid that I Do Not get up nearly as early as you anymore . Back in The Day , I was up early enough to be at work 30 miles away at 6:00 A.M. . But that was a long time ago . There are always some Gray Squirrels around our house all year long , so I do not have to worry about missing them . As for as your Stag goes , I would take that Kinda Plain Stag anytime my friend .

My daughter likes knives too. She likes my Buck 301, but is not crazy about the Valox handle. She received this in today's mail:

I have five sons. I think only two are interested in knives (modern only). My daughter LOVES traditional knives, and has a small but growing collection.
