Between doctor appointments and thunderstorms today, there wasn't much totin' to do. I put this pair in my front pockets for Old Friends Friday and took them to the doc's and to a small (3 guys) gathering of buddies this afternoon. We were careful to stay a socially safe 6 pack apart from each other.

Slicing my granary loaf today (with a bread knife, not with the Lambsfoot ;) )

I'm surprised you didn't use that big blade to cut your toast.

Thank you John, the loaf is bigger than it looks :)

Thanks, guys. I am on a better path for recovery from my back issues. Fingers crossed. Being back on the Porch is recuperative. Seeing the nice knives that y'all posted was a boost, too.

That's good to hear Stuart :) When this is all over, I'm shelling out for another specialist

My Dad gave me this knife 49 years ago. (It's in better shape than I am.) :) Hardest work done by this knife was Mumblety-peg.

Great pic! :D

Been carrying this strange old German knife today , anyone know about this type of handle design ?

FoXsvT9.jpg

Very interesting design, could it be a type of pen knife or office knife, with a nib (or pencil) that fits in the opposite end to the blade? I hasten to add that is a complete guess, I don't think I've seen another like it. It's clearly inexpensively made, European (German) I would guess. Be great to see more of it

Edit - Sorry, you said it was German!

Thanks Jack; great way to start your day!!!

Going with one multi bladed beast today. :)

Sincere thanks JJ, looks like you have all the bases covered there my friend :)

Welcome to the weekend folks  I'm carrying my Waynorth Black Jack and Hartshead Barlow again today, but replacing my Boker Savannah with a shorter Terrava Mini-Skrama. Have a good Saturday folks

:thumbsup:real nice!

Been awhile since I’ve been here, lots to catch up on, and I hope all find themselves well. Been carrying this Moore Maker 5301 circa ‘98 for 6 months. I just can’t put anything else in my watch pocket.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that!
A Stockman can do almost anything that needs doing.

Carried the same ones today as yesterday . Was extremely busy getting caught up on nothing today.

My wife wanted me to get some shots of a few of her Irises so I will share some with you .

Harry
Very nice, Harry ~ both the knives, and Nancy’s iris.

Is the non-blade end hollow and just big enough for the non-sharpened end of a pencil to fit in if so I would wonder if it’s not a pencil sharpener and extender. I’ve never seen anything like it but artists use extenders for pencils when they get too short to use properly because they are comparatively expensive compared to standard #2’s and don’t have erasers on the ends. That’s the only thing I can think of and if so it’s pretty awesome.

Just got this back from the repair shop. Thanks goes out to J jsdistin for his fine work reprofiling and centering the blade and tightening up the gaps. Going into the pocket today.
