What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Annnnnd here we go! Back in the office for the foreseeable future. Working from home with a pile of knives in front of me to fidget with was fun...but it’s good to be back in the flow.

I have my three essentials for my line of work: knife, coffee, Bible!

Y’all have a blessed day!

I grow food on an organic farm, so no lockdown for me, but I start every day with those same three things:thumbsup:

I've really taken a liking to this #77. It didn't speak to me at first - in fact I almost sold it. This and my ebony WCLF are easily my two favorite carries. I wonder if there'll be a 77 run this year.

To me, the spear blade is my favorite on that knife. They did a great job of capturing the old pocket knives.

I guess I’m getting old. I thought that was an ear wax scoop.
Why not? Thanks.
Those were fun. I never did have darts for it, except one I made out of a water-color brush and a brad, but you could pile the bbs in it for a shotgun effect, and you could shoot Diamond kitchen matches so they would ignite on impact. (You kids, don't try this at home!)

And, to be on topic, I'm carrying this little one today.

There seems to be less room in the pockets of size 38 pants than in 40s.
Congrats on dropping weight! Bet you feel better too...
Case in Seafoam Green ~ awesome!

With no slight intended towards anyone else’s 72, or my two in delrin, that’s number one!

Thanks. And looking a little less like a pear upon a pear.
I think this was "Alpine" green, from the e-dealer with the specials page where I get almost all of my new Cases.

Colors are tricky, though. With my photography skills it's a crap-shoot.

Went on a solo canoe trip recently. Usually I carry my improved muskrat in CV but in a watery environment, Trusharp is the ticket. This is blasphemy but it seems to hold that hair popping edge longer in my day to day. I removed the spey from this trapper last summer and it makes for an excellent, thin. Light though capable full sized knife. Sorry the knife is out of focus

Couple of new arrivals. The Red Trout in sunset jigged bone and a Sword brand senator. Not sure why, but I love a traditional with a nail file. Needs an edge but cleaned up nicely.

Also along is my always present Bell swayback that goes in my shirt pocket.

(((sigh))) swapped out the (BTI) Old Timer 858OTB for a (BTI) Old Timer 858OT this post maridian.

I decided I really don't need the fancy real bone covers and/or (allegedly) "440C equivalent" (note quotes) 9CR??MoV blade steel.

About all I expect today is possibly sharpening a Number 2 "lead" pencil or three, and maybe slice a boneless fowl patty.
Don't need a fancy steel for that.

Great knife! I had somebody do a blade delete on a yellow Case Trapper, turned out to be a very very very good knife. I ended up sending it to a friend, but may have to do another one.
But John, the castrator blade is perfect for spreading peanut butter, and the extra blade makes the handle the perfect width. And who wants a mutilated trapper?

:D:D:D
