Thanks for the info about the Canadian coins and about your church "re-opening", Dean....
Canadian Voyageurs dollars are quite available @ that online store where folks sell pretty much everything (hint: it starts with an "e"). ...
In answer to your question about my church: we started in-person church four weeks ago.

Great stag "melon tester", Les!
Thanks for expanding my vocabulary, Jack, and for identifying the shield markings of that yellow jack....
Thank you Gary, GEC called it a Speaker Jack
Thank you again my friend, I guess those are the original owner's initials
...
I usually post in this thread each morning, but I went out hiking early today, so it's evening now, and I've had these three with me today![]()
...
Faca de peixe fantástico, José!
Thanks, Jeff; Court Jester is probably more accurate!Gary, you’re the King of thoughtful replies! Thanks, and yes~ Grandma’s bird bath tree rat!
...
Now, that's a knife!
Thanks, John.That's a beauty, GT.![]()
Ah, fond school days memories! Thanks Gary; that's classic you recall that, as all I remember (from around the 3rd grade) is getting whacked across the knuckles with a ruler for lack of attentiveness!
...
Your daughter certainly picked a beautiful Spanish gem for you; it reminds me of the wonderful Argento conducted 'Espana' by the London Symphony in 1956/57!
...
I really like that trilateral shield on the big jack, JJ!
Fine threesome Gary![]()
Thanks for your remarks, Jack and José.Wonderful trio of knives with good photos, Gary.![]()
That black EO teardrop jack is impressive, Jeff!
Those Case chestnut swayback jacks are classics, Dean and Sacto!I harvested my hops today and had this in my pocket.

The top two with the folded metal handles are dependable European imports!View attachment 1376766
Whole crews EDC's. Top to bottom, my Douk Douk, dad's K55K, and my little brother's normark little Swede.
Congrats, and best wishes on continuing the streak!Last Winston red was March 20, 2019, so little over a year. No cheating, no backsliding.
Very nice, José; I don't think I've ever seen the design on the pile side of your duck scrimshaw Schrade!
Really like the bold, vivid color of the elk after the treatment you gave it!I had the blades thinned out substantially and the scales are the result of this morning with some potassium permanganate and some Q tips.Unfortunately it doesn't last long on the elk, rubs off with handling after a few weeks worse luck. Stuff is cheap though and you can you try new patterns each time.

That whittler is very handsome!I like this Camillus. It has strong springs but medium pulls, a neat trick. And the mystery German I got Saturday.
![]()
I think the mystery German meets the definition of "whittler".

Very cool, Jon.Morning everyone. I’m looking forward to a great week. I’ll be carrying the tribal lock for awhile. It’s acting as a reminder for me to pray for one of my good friends. I’m kind of forgetful, so it helps for me to have reminders of things. I’ve had success assigning meaning to different knives, letting them remind me of things as I fidget with them throughout the day.
...
Classy knife, John.
Congrats on the Voos (and the aligned wheels), David!![]()
Sitting waiting for a wheel alignment, fidgeting with my "new" Voos
Powerful pair, Harvey; really like the jigged wood on your new #23!
Those Case slimline trappers are sweet knives!
Really like the decorated handle on your Opinel, Greg!Took a three day weekend and did some camping, carried a Boker scout knife. The Opinel #8 is always in the camper drawer and is such a good knife for food prep and saw some use as well. I never actually carry that knife but after using it in camp I decided to pocket it to work today.

That vivacious vintage Schrade is a beast, JJ!
Congrats on the Old Timer muskrat, Jeff; way to go, Bruce!!My old 33OT welcomes a new ~ not only new-to-me, but literally new, in the box, 77OT.
A surprise gift from Bruce, @Old Hunter, it got it’s maiden pocket voyage last night out for pizza. It is in my pocket in a slip right now, but before heading to the farm, I think I’ll swap it for something I don’t mind getting dirty.
After showing the knife and Bruce’s note to Mrs Fleschwund, she said “you sure have a nice group of people there”.

Edit: Ha! And look who squeezed a post in while I was thinking of what to say!
Thanks again, Bruce!
Pair of grand covers on your harvest knives, Ron!Good morning! I’ve already made a run to the local farmers market. Some okra, yellow tomatoes, red potatoes and a couple heads of cabbage followed me home! I had these two in my pocket. My Pére David Big ‘un and my brand new #23L Beavertail in Jigged Brazilian Cherry. Y’all stay safe out there!![]()

Thanks Tim!That's some really nice jigging on the #48. Nice coloring too.
Thanks for the compliment and the info Jack!Nice-looking pair Ron'Venture' is the H.M. Slater trademark, like 'IXL' to Wostenholm, or 'I Cut My Way' to William Rodgers
