Canadian Voyageurs dollars are quite available @ that online store where folks sell pretty much everything (hint: it starts with an "e"). ...

In answer to your question about my church: we started in-person church four weeks ago.
...
Thanks for the info about the Canadian coins and about your church "re-opening", Dean. :)

Great stag "melon tester", Les!:thumbsup:;)

...
Thank you Gary, GEC called it a Speaker Jack

Thank you again my friend, I guess those are the original owner's initials
...
I usually post in this thread each morning, but I went out hiking early today, so it's evening now, and I've had these three with me today :)
...
Thanks for expanding my vocabulary, Jack, and for identifying the shield markings of that yellow jack. :)
Looks like a trustworthy traveling trio!:thumbsup::cool:

Faca de peixe fantástico, José!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Gary, you’re the King of thoughtful replies! Thanks, and yes~ Grandma’s bird bath tree rat!
...
Thanks, Jeff; Court Jester is probably more accurate! :) Cool bird bath!:cool::thumbsup:

Now, that's a knife!
:D:D

That's a beauty, GT. :cool::thumbsup:
Thanks, John. :)

Thanks Gary; that's classic you recall that, as all I remember (from around the 3rd grade) is getting whacked across the knuckles with a ruler for lack of attentiveness!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
Your daughter certainly picked a beautiful Spanish gem for you; it reminds me of the wonderful Argento conducted 'Espana' by the London Symphony in 1956/57!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
...
Ah, fond school days memories!
I wasn't familiar with that rhapsody (even though my daughter played violin in many orchestras/ensembles before she went off to Spain). When I looked it up on Wikipedia, I found out that before he wrote the piece, the composer visited many of the same Spanish cities my daughter took me to visit!:cool::thumbsup:

These two jacks for Sunday; the big fella is a Camillus made Remington. :)
I really like that trilateral shield on the big jack, JJ!:cool::cool:

Fine threesome Gary
Wonderful trio of knives with good photos, Gary.;):thumbsup:
Thanks for your remarks, Jack and José. :)

That black EO teardrop jack is impressive, Jeff!:thumbsup::cool:

I harvested my hops today and had this in my pocket.

Whole crews EDC's. Top to bottom, my Douk Douk, dad's K55K, and my little brother's normark little Swede.
The top two with the folded metal handles are dependable European imports!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Last Winston red was March 20, 2019, so little over a year. No cheating, no backsliding.
Congrats, and best wishes on continuing the streak!:cool::thumbsup:

Today in my pocket with Schrade barlow SC 506 Scrimshaw made in USA.;)
...
Very nice, José; I don't think I've ever seen the design on the pile side of your duck scrimshaw Schrade!:cool::thumbsup:

I had the blades thinned out substantially and the scales are the result of this morning with some potassium permanganate and some Q tips. :) Unfortunately it doesn't last long on the elk, rubs off with handling after a few weeks worse luck. Stuff is cheap though and you can you try new patterns each time. :D
Really like the bold, vivid color of the elk after the treatment you gave it!:cool::cool:

I like this Camillus. It has strong springs but medium pulls, a neat trick. And the mystery German I got Saturday.
xCRSCkB.jpg

I think the mystery German meets the definition of "whittler".

That whittler is very handsome!:thumbsup::cool:

Morning everyone. I’m looking forward to a great week. I’ll be carrying the tribal lock for awhile. It’s acting as a reminder for me to pray for one of my good friends. I’m kind of forgetful, so it helps for me to have reminders of things. I’ve had success assigning meaning to different knives, letting them remind me of things as I fidget with them throughout the day.
...
Very cool, Jon.:) I have a Case chestnut jigged bone CV Sodbuster Jr that I won in a GAW from a member asking for prayers before he went into the hospital for cancer treatment; I've used that as a "prayer list" reminder ever since (and it's a knife I carry every day).

Happy Monday Everybody
Enjoying life with a new puppy, it's never dull. :D
He's asking to go outside to do his "business' so we are making progress.
Classy knife, John. :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
Glad you're a good teacher, whatever the species of your students! ;):thumbsup:

Sitting waiting for a wheel alignment, fidgeting with my "new" Voos
Congrats on the Voos (and the aligned wheels), David!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Powerful pair, Harvey; really like the jigged wood on your new #23!:thumbsup::cool:

Those Case slimline trappers are sweet knives!:thumbsup::cool: Is yours jigged wood?

Took a three day weekend and did some camping, carried a Boker scout knife. The Opinel #8 is always in the camper drawer and is such a good knife for food prep and saw some use as well. I never actually carry that knife but after using it in camp I decided to pocket it to work today.

Really like the decorated handle on your Opinel, Greg!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thought I'd go with this early GEC 23 iteration as I've seen so many cool versions, lately!:thumbsup:
That vivacious vintage Schrade is a beast, JJ!:cool::thumbsup:

My old 33OT welcomes a new ~ not only new-to-me, but literally new, in the box, 77OT.
A surprise gift from Bruce, @Old Hunter, it got it’s maiden pocket voyage last night out for pizza. It is in my pocket in a slip right now, but before heading to the farm, I think I’ll swap it for something I don’t mind getting dirty.

After showing the knife and Bruce’s note to Mrs Fleschwund, she said “you sure have a nice group of people there”.:)

Edit: Ha! And look who squeezed a post in while I was thinking of what to say!
Thanks again, Bruce!
Congrats on the Old Timer muskrat, Jeff; way to go, Bruce!! :):thumbsup:

Good morning! I’ve already made a run to the local farmers market. Some okra, yellow tomatoes, red potatoes and a couple heads of cabbage followed me home! I had these two in my pocket. My Pére David Big ‘un and my brand new #23L Beavertail in Jigged Brazilian Cherry. Y’all stay safe out there! :)

Pair of grand covers on your harvest knives, Ron!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the compliment, GT. I had both a wood burner & too much time on my hands the day I attacked that Openil.:D

Thanks for the info about the Canadian coins and about your church "re-opening", Dean. :)

Those Case chestnut swayback jacks are classics, Dean and Sacto!:thumbsup::cool:

Thank you for your comments, Gary! Update on my church, we have closed down in person again due to the increase in coronavirus cases in Central Ohio.

Good morning to everyone! We didn’t get to bed until 2:00am and when I woke up at 7:30am I looked on my phone and there was already a Heat Advisory warning! :( Needless to say I’ll be indoors today! I’ve got a couple of knives picked out to handle my probably very limited cutting chores for today. They’re what I call Feel Good knives! I’ve got my Arno Bernard Galago with Warthog Tusk handles. This special knife was a surprise gift from my close friend Harry @Old Engineer. Thanks again my friend! The other knife is a very limited SFO from Jack @Jack Black! It’s a Wright’s Lambsfoot with Damascus blade, handworked back spring and Ironwood handles. Now you see what I meant about Feel Good knives! :D I hope y’all stay safe out there and have a blessed day! :)

Have a peaceful Sunday, folks! Love the posts!
Heading out to replenish our bird feeders and bird baths. Supposed to hit 92F, with a feels like of 97F. This might be my only trip outside today.
Nonetheless I'm prepared for any unlikely cutting chores!
