What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice! I was lucky enough to get one pre-ordered on this last drop. Can't wait to get it. Probably the 2nd half of August sometime. I'm assuming it's a good bit lighter than the 23s?
I've never had a 23 but I have seen side by sides and the mud bug is extremely thinner. So I'm guessing it will be. In the pocket it disappears. Can't wait to use the belt sheath. This thing is gonna be a slicing machine.

A Big 'Un and a Little 'Un for me today.

A humble Case Sodbuster arrived in the mail today. Slightly re-profiled the blade and addressed a severe rough open and close issue. Has nice pocket worn covers, centered blade with no play and now a wicked tru-sharp blade. Carries thin, yet plenty of blade. Apart from the rough open and close issue which is now fixed, the only issue that bothered me is off colored covers from pile to mark side, kind of common with Case in my opinion. I see Rit Dye in it's future. Overall, I'm good with the price I paid, it's a very capable knife:thumbsup:

Looks good, Paul! I like the color on the pile side. :D

Is that what Case calls the Sodbuster Jr., or are you related to Andre the Giant? ;)

View attachment 1390653 With all the talks of 35's recently. I had to break out this absolutely classic knife!!

Definitely a classic!

Thanks Barrett, I guess if you tire of one color you have a noticeable difference on the other side:eek: and you are correct, it is the junior version. I really like your woodland micarta:cool:

Pretty sure the term “half whittler” is one coined by collectors for a two blade pocketknife built on a frame that normally houses a three blade whittler. Case just picked it up and ran with it after it became common lingo. OH

I think you're right OH, it's often used, erroneously, for a Wharncliffe Knife o_O Likewise the Wharncliffe Whittler, which I think Case named a 'Seahorse Whittler' didn't they? Though I don't think that knife was originally a Whittler in any case
