What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

What? This is an outrage...an outrage I say...the big bully...It looks like a wrestling match outside of their respective weight classes! :p

BTW, a lot of nice wood handles and covers being displayed today.

The Opinel tapped out :-) peanut won.

Just call me Kermit :p

That's a GREAT pic! :)

When using a peanut outside of its weight class, it pays to step back and take a moment to think about the best approach.

To take down this tree with my peanut I had to first capture a baby beaver (kit, kitten), threaten it with my peanut, then make its parents do my dirty work:-)

Disclaimer : no beavers were harmed, this was just a poor attempt at humor.

Today i shall be knife naked! We're off to Sheffield to do a little light shopping followed by a gig in the evening and i really don't feel like losing a slippie to a guerrilla on security.

Might be time i invested in a SAK Classic. Mmmm, now there's an idea!

I usually go for a walk on Saturdays, but a combination of weather and my girlfriend having to work, has scuppered that (had a nice walk yesterday though). I have to go into Leeds city centre, and was going to take the Otter Andi sent me, but as there's probably a match on, I've decided against it, so it's the Vic Classic or Leatherman Micra today :( Enjoy your gig, check out the Sheffield Tap in the train station if you've not been in before and like good beer :)

Thanks for the tip on the Tap Jack, might just have to go for a pint this afternoon

There's a museum (with knives!) between there and the city centre too, and a couple of places nearby on Surrey Street selling slipjoints  Sorry if you already know that! :)

I need to get a Peanut! :)

Clutch, I agree in fact I wonder if it ever had print on it? When I found it it was in bad shape---I'm sure it had provided years of faithful service to its owner over the years, there are nicks and dings on the spine and bolsters showing it's hard work lifestyle but not even a hint of print on the shield:confused:

Carrying the Keen Kutter again to day.

Paul

My first CS, while I am not overly impressed with the fit and finish, it is a very lovely knife. The reclaimed american chestnut handles are nice and thick, and have a great, warm feel in the hand. The D2 blade is very sharp. I only expect so much out of a knife in this price range, and I feel like I got a great little pocket knife. I will be carrying this with the Spyderco puukko for the morning.
