What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm a fan of the equal end knives, that Schatt looks nice, GT.

Every time I see your tortoise Calf Roper I regret not grabbing one, Bruce. I like my ironwood version but that tortoise just looks so good

Two beauties, Paul. I have Charlies ebony version of that 35 and they certainly are punchy, ya have to be careful where you point it.
Thanks Greg, they are sharp and although I've been spared from it's severe piercing abilities I know first hand that Duncan has felt it's full effect to the point (pun intended) that he swears it embedded in bone:eek::eek::eek:

View attachment 1454808 View attachment 1454809 In the first picture, my jacks are lying on a piece of one of two bald faced hornet nests that were in my sugar maple. One, I had discovered and killed during the summer, but the other was invisible until the leaves dropped.
Bald faced hornets are the Satan’s disciples of the insect world. Super aggressive, with a sting that wallops you like a Cy Young winning major league pitch, which then swells into a crescendo of incinerator like pain.
Interestingly, in my yard, the only trees they build in are my two biggest sugar maples. I think that’s because of the density of the leaf cover in sugars.
The nests ate made of a cellulose material they make. In summer, I see them chewing off the weathered top layer on oak fence boards.
Have a great Saturday!
