What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

In my pocket today with this Portuguese all in stainless steel and Trout Scrimshaw.

That is a good looking knife!

Great looking Case and the pup reminds me of my old feller (will be 16 this year).

My semi-regular carry of the Case 6308 for the past three months had me digging through my collection, gathering Whittlers together. Biggest and strongest one I own is a Case 6380 - carried it today. OH

Thanks, Jack. :) I think I've mentioned before that the "pose" used in that AC pic is probably my favorite knife pose because of its triumphant look. ;)
Couple of striking swaybacks for you!:thumbsup::cool: You don't suppose your back problems could be related to all the swayback knives you have, do you??:rolleyes:

Happy new year to every one!

Terrific trio, Jeff! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

I'm bonding well with the Cattle Knife.
Bonding is good!:cool::cool: Is the blade on the left a spey or a smaller clip? What can you tell a steel novice like me about 154-CM, John?

Thank you for your comments and story about Spanish color mathematics. I learned the Italian word for red which is very similar to the Spanish word in Germany one year. I was walking with several of my students from Italy to get dinner and one of them was teaching me the correct pronunciation for 'rosso' when suddenly she shouted it out. That's when I figured out she was talking about the traffic light. :(:)

Regarding the Schrade stockman, you are welcome. I also am thankful for my Olive Green Farmer you gave me. :)
Cool story, Dean.:cool: What were you teaching to Italian students in Germany?
Regarding the Farmer, you're welcome as well. :) All the color stories had me look up "olive green", and it's "verde oliva" in both Spanish and Italian!

I'm carrying my Case Bonestag teardrop for Faux stag Saturday.

That 2-blade bone stag teardrop is definitely a winner!:thumbsup::cool:

Thank you.
It took an entire month to get, but it's a very special knife so I was willing to wait for it.
:thumbsup::cool:

I was cleaning a few knives this morning including thus CK/Mike Latham SFO - African Blackwood 48....
With both the wharncliffe and clip blades open it looks like a spear blade.

This Opinel looks great!:thumbsup::thumbsup: How did you do it?

This Victorinox Pioneer 2008, the last year of manufacture of this model, was offered by my son at Christmas.

Very memorable gift from your son, José!:cool::thumbsup:

Since it is Saturday and it is a day that ends with a " Y " , I decided to carry a couple Barlows dressed in Stag . And as always carried in Slips made by Porch Members . The Dark one was made by @sunknife Greg and the Guardian one was made by @Pàdruig Dylan . And the other picture is the Last Piece of our 60 Anniversary cake that we froze and saved from August to eat if we made it to 2021 .

The Icing kind of slid down when it thawed out . It still tasted great .

Notable pair of stag Barlow, Harry; I especially admire that Henckels!:cool::thumbsup:
And congrats to the 2 of you for 60+ years of wedded bliss!

Thanks, Gary. Wishing you a great 2021 .
Thanks, Greg, and same to you. :)

Here's an old pic of the Smooth Tobacco Bone one, which @Humppa kindly gifted me many years ago. Not a great pic I'm afraid

Fix bayonets!!! :D ;)

I'd forgotten about that GT :D I think the one I have here came with another RR 'doggie' knife, came with a wee whistle, quite nice if I recall. I gave the knife away to a pal, but had completely forgotten about the slip
...
Thanks for the pic of your RR sowbelly, Jack.:) Their smooth tobacco bone seems to come in two different colors, one more yellow like yours and one more brown. I have some of each type and like them both, but I prefer the browner one, I think.

I remember those RR "dog bone" knives that came with a whistle. Seems they were never in stock at the times I happened to put together orders. The little slips are certainly handy, though, for placing a knife in a handy position in a bag!:thumbsup:

I always enjoy seeing that knife, José!:thumbsup::cool:

Last day of the regular football season... Go Hawks!
I’m conflicted and torn. I like the knife, but not crazy about the coffee cup with a chicken on it.:D
Thank you on both counts, Jeff. :)
I'm really enjoying this Case/Bose...
and if the Seahawks sucked, nobody would hate them. :D
I love the good-natured banter, guys! ;):thumbsup: (Or, as they used to put it in Leave It to Beaver, "giving somebody the business". :D)

Happy Sunday! I have two Camillus knives in my pocket today, a Stockman, that has no model# on it~ 3 7/8”, in stainless, and a first generation synthetic handled TL-29.View attachment 1484520
I like the yellow/black color combo, Jeff.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Is the stockman the standard clip/sheep/spey blade configuration?

Gona have to get me one of them TL-29's! Like them

Me and Richartz freed a sheep hung up on the barbed wire. Kids were delighted:)
Lotta nice curves in that photo: blade spine, swayback handle, hills in the background, in the horizontal twisted wire.:cool::thumbsup: My wife had to free our curly-haired toy poodle from a briar bush the other day.

A little sunshine on a cloudy day!

I sure appreciate your kind comments, Gary. And yessir~clip, sheep, spey.
More fun than Dip sheep, and spey!

Rarely photographed but always on my belt; it was solo in the pocket for the bike ride with the youngest today.

Hey me too. I feel nekkid without the Leatherman Tool in it’s little black case right next to the cell phone case on my belt.
I’ve had/have several later models, but prefer the original Tool.

OE71pi.jpg

A very impressive brace  I like the look of that Muslin Micarta, did you polish or wax it at all? Reason I ask is that my two GECs in it are rather dull and matte. All steel too, very good!

Only thing I can nitpick about that Barlow is it has a Clip master, when it is well-known that SPEAR is the superior blade...;):D:thumbsup:

Thanks, Will
