Very handsome :)

I woke with Dylan Thomas' melancholic poem on my mind...

Maybe because I was covering material like this in class the evening before...

You're very well-read my friend, and knowledgeable of course :) Do you think, like most things, we owe the Greeks (or at least Zeno) for that too? :D :) I hope you had some Berkman and Malatesta in there with your Goldman - and Nechaev! :D ;) I'm not sure I have the noodle for it all these days I'm afraid, my brain was much more agile as a young man

Thank you very much, Jack!!!

Very cool angle on your Hartshead image, the stag looks incredible; the random RR should be a great back-up, as well!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you very much JJ, that's very kind of you my friend :)

I'm carrying my avatar today for TC Tuesday; Ancient Barlow 2.0

Great photo Dean :)

Thought I'd go simple with one of my favorites, a GEC 43 today. :)

That's a stunning knife JJ  :)

I’m in Texas this week visiting my in-laws for Easter holiday. Just brought these two: a perfect old traditional and a perfect modern traditional.
Impressive stag/horn traveling companions, Joshua!:thumbsup::cool:

Carrying the 110 for the whole month as part of a challenge on another forum. Paired with a SW 856 today

A month with a 110 is quite a challenge, Steve! Good luck (but don't let it throw your back out of alignment )!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Thanks pal, I don't have the memory to play April Fool's Day jokes I'm afraid, I only just remembered to turn over my calendar! :D

Yes, I heard from Vince a few days back :) Perhaps so my friend! :D THanks Gary, yours too :)
...
Memory seems to become more selective (and for me, randomly so :() with age, Jack. ;)
I was glad to see that Vince returned from a BF break for Lent!:cool::thumbsup:

Did a little carving with my two youngest--they used the SAK Cadet and I the WSK...
Cool photos!:cool::thumbsup: I don't think I have the discipline or the accuracy to whittle into a can! When I do indoor winter whittling, I put my chair in the middle of a drop cloth spread out on the floor. :p

...
Have a nice Easter Sunday everyone, got one of my Damascus Lambsfoot SFOs, and my Todd Davison Sheepsfoot :)
...
That's some fancy Easter finery you carried, Jack!:cool::cool:

Today with this Portuguese Ciol, in stainless steel and cork hands.;)
...
Your cork Cool is a unique knife, José!:thumbsup::cool:

Happy Easter Everybody...
The Small Texas jack was calling to me today.
Compact and capable couple of cutters, John!:thumbsup::cool:

Happy Easter everyone, carried this Case pearl handled, stainless steel sleeveboard pen to the sunrise service on the beach early this morning (it was cold!) Switching to a bigger knife in a bit. Hope everyone here has a peaceful day. OH

Pretty pearl, Bruce! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I hope the family feasting and fishing went well Sunday! :)

It's a 3-1/2" (closed) knife and very slim to boot. :)
...
Thanks for the stats, John. :)

@Thank you Gary :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Another clever (BB) Les Paul reference:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I have to admit it was totally unintentional, Gus.

Other than it just bit me, I like it a lot. It’s basically a $14.99 Lanny’s Clip with rough ryder’s quality which I like. The stipled aluminum handles will not be to everyone’s taste but they work fine for me. Try it, you’ll like it!
Thanks for the mini review and recommendation, Alan. :)

From what I’ve read Puma seems first by a hair. The Game Warden started it for them. They are nice, but not as sweet as the 60s and 70s models.
Thanks for the history lesson. :)

It’s a modded Schrade 34OT, missing the Spey blade and has brown smooth bone handles. Fellow on AAPK modifies them for folks. OH
Thanks for the follow-up info, Bruce. :)

Not the famous Tidal Basin blossoms, just some flowers growing near the lake I was walking around.

I wanted to take a picture of my neighbor’s magnificent magnolia, but the petals are brown and falling off already. The blossoms were just starting to reach peak, and then we were hit with overnight temperatures in the 20s, and 50 mph winds. Here it is from last year, though (posted then in a discussion about COVID and the beginning of the lock-downs):
Thanks for the informative reply, Tom. :) I don't have a lot of experience with magnolias, but my impression is that they look stunning but are quite fragile, and your info fits with my impression.

Thanks, GT. Happy Easter.
Thanks for the holiday wish; I hope it was a fine day for everyone!:cool::thumbsup:

Hey, John. Besides sweets and alcohol, I gave up bladeforums for Lent. I have a Case trapper with "He is Risen!" written on it:

but what I have in my pocket is my Case medium stockman:
...
Yes, I have had some candy and alcohol today. Gonna eat some carrot cake, too!
Happy Easter, everyone!
Great to see you back, Vince!:cool::) Sounds like you've been very self-disciplined, and I hope you had a focused Lenten experience!

Toting these two Winchesters made by Queen with the festive covers. :)
...
Definitely festive glittery covers, JJ!:cool::cool: Really like that knurled bolster on the coffin jack.

i'm carried my new Buck 501 to Easter services and on an Easter walk today.

View attachment 1540327
Congrats on the new knife from the Buck 500-series, Dean; great photo!:thumbsup::cool: If you take requests, I'd benefit from seeing a comparison shot of your two recent Buck 500s. ;) (I'm a little behind in this thread, so maybe you've actually posted such a photo since Sunday, and I just haven' gotten to it yet.)

I always carry a bottle opener of some type and I have a church key on my keys too. Gotta stay prepared!! ;);) But yes most in the pictures are just props. I do have quite a few. Can’t hit a swap meet without leaving with a few. Have a Happy Easter buddy.
Thanks for the opener info. :) I'd think that the church keys with the triangular "can punch" could do some damage to cloth and flesh if carried in a pocket.

...
Terrific trio Gary, great to see your Valley Jack

It's another holiday here today - not that there's currently much to do  I hope everyone's week gets off to a good start :) Carrying my Hartshead Barlow and a Metal Monday Vic Farmer

Thanks for the kind word, Jack. :)
Cool bucolic backgrounds for your HHB and Farmer pics!:thumbsup::cool:

Your Valley Jack has great tones, Gary.:):thumbsup:
I appreciate your compliment, José. :) The desert ironwood Guardians lambsfoot knives had such a variety of grain; yours is very different from mine, but VERY striking with it's straight grain!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
