Literally waiting for the exact same knife. Ordered it a couple of weeks ago and should be here very soon. Hope I have the same luck as you did.Just received this Ebony AW&S Lambsfoot in the mail today
It is immaculate. Had to have been cherry picked for me
Like getting a GEC finished knife from AW&S ... and the AWESOME ...

I hope so too Catdaddy. I'd just about given up on AW&S. Roundly disappointed with F/F on the three other AW&S knives I own. Glad I gave it one more shot, with someone I'd never ordered from before. I can find only one minor imperfection (in the wood) in this knife but overall I give it a 9.7. Unheard of in a working knife ... in Ebony no less . It's easily the finest Lambsfoot I now own. Oh, and the 3 other AW&S knives I own? ... they work fine, just aren't fitted and finished very well.Literally waiting for the exact same knife. Ordered it a couple of weeks ago and should be here very soon. Hope I have the same luck as you did.
The box is you Harry
Thanks. We used to use horses but don’t have any left. We’ve got cattle scattered at several different places and it just gets to a point where it’s easier to run around with a 4-wheeler than a horse and horse trailer. The terrain where I am in the valley is pretty flat, so it doesn’t require horses. I’m sure you know, if the horses sit around too much, they’re not any good when you need them. I can get everything done that I need to, including roping, on an ATV. Sad, but that’s he way it is now. We do use horses on the ranch in Oregon, but I spend most of my time in California.View attachment 1544745 View attachment 1544746 View attachment 1544747 View attachment 1544748
Sacto , well my friend, you would think that I would have a Catahoula Hound given the fact that they were developed here in Louisiana and are our official state dog. However, they are far too high octane for me! Take a look at the intensity of the dog in the bottom photo I borrowed from the internet. My ranch is not large enough for that much dog! I have friends who own them, and they need to be kept busy with a job or else chaos erupts.
I prefer low energy dogs like our English Shepherd. They are more my style! And since our Rosie is a herding dog, the Jess Horn locking knife with Ram’s Horn covers is appropriate for me to tote today.
Have a great week everyone. And enjoy life on that magnificent ranchSacto ! I envy you that opportunity. Do y’all use horses?
Thanks, Jack. He needed to stretch his legs a bit.
Thanks again, Jack.
I'm glad I kept it too. At first I was a little put off by the blade divot, but in the end it's what made me decide to make it a "user" since it was already dinged up a little. Very nice in the pocket and everything else about it is top shelf.
Thank you very much, Jack!!!
The Waynorth lamb is always a fantastic choice, but adding that classic marlin spike/yachting knife certainly rounds out "metal Monday" in excellent form!![]()
Always love seeing that old pruner, Harry!

Tuesday happens only once a week ... every week of the year
But not every Tuesday do I experience the splendor of an Autumn Leaf gently slipping into my pocket
And I genuinely realize, a better small lockback I do not have
