My Usual Lamb and an Imperial Barlow for Thrifty Thursday
I can’t tell on yours, but my Grandpa’s Imperial Barlow was the very thrifty shell construction. The plastic imitation delrin scales were ugly and faded, so I replaced them with horn. I do not advise that, because the bolsters on shell knives crush easily!
Still, Imperials have good springs and action, and take a sharp edge.

Started the day off with these two.

But after getting a package from Glennbad, these two.

Both repaired by Glenn.
DB Barlow and Queen #49 with broken back springs. Barlow is as good as new. The 49 is now a lot slimmer due to losing two blades because he couldn't find a replacement spring.
49 is now a single blade and nice and thin but with those beautiful covers.
