Case Trapper

Schrade 2331, about which a story follows the pictures.

Sorry for the picture quality. This arrived while I was away yesterday, opened long after dark last night, and I wanted to snap some quick shots this morning while I had a few moments between appointments/tasks.

This one is special for two reasons. First, it was purchased from a new friend, Paul Hilborn.

Second, being a 1986 knife, it marks the year I married the most amazing woman. It is more beautiful face-to-face, than in pictures, just as my wife is, and will always remind me of the bonds of friendship.

Rarely does a knife stay in my pocket day in and day out but every day since receiving this one from Mr. Erickson, about a month ago, this one has been with me.

Wow Doug, very nice, Paul is a great fella, but you are wrong because I married the most amazing woman :-).
Well I guess there is a chance we both got lucky, we both have chestnut peanuts, small Schrade stockman and great wives.
And a friend named Paul.

Back to the ole #79 Montana Workhorse Whittler (not a true whittler in the whittler collector world)

Although I'm also carrying my Svord Peasant Mini, Queen Utility Workhorse....I've been toting this humble RR Copperhead most of the day:

I'm like the poor cousin to some of you guys!

Love the look of that Kissing Crane Canoe.

My "new" old Schrade 893. (3 5/8" closed, 1 7/8 ounces)

Beautiful knives are seeing daylight and getting pockettime today... :) Great setup everyone, fellows!

Today the #12 Powderhorn Jack was with me :)

In addition to my Queen 3L, I've got my Ankermesser. Little guy, very handy, love the sheepsfoot blade for general utility, and it's sturdy as all get-out.
