Nice pair as usual, Jack. Nice woodgrain on that ironwood, I wonder if it grew in high mineral content soil, or some other advantageous conditions.

Thank you very much Jeff, that was a good run of Ironwood, with more than the average share of character I think. I know it came from the US, and was expensive, but I'm afraid I know nothing beyond that. Very interesting to speculate though The bead was made by a South African feller called Mark Stotesbury

The new one has some spectacular grenadil. Lots of light brown color in it.
