I was inspired by Ash's new Case Damascus knife, so I dropped this in my pocket.

Seen this thread for years, and I guess I've never contributed...

Well, here's what rides in my back pocked with the handkerchief, all day, everyday since my wife gave it to me some 5 or so years ago.

Nice-looking Barlow Andi :)

Thanks Jack - the Barlow I got from The Bay and it was in terrible condition. But after some hours of cleaning it up with a lot of oil and some water/oilstonetreatment the W&T is alright again ... and it´s razorsharp :D

I gave it up many years ago Jack. It does make an interesting element in the photos though. :)

It certainly does, well recycled! :)

Well done Andi, you've done a great job

Nice picture of the clasp knife Jack.

It looks very similar to the old British Army Clasp Knife.

They are brutally strong old knives, with a bear-trap spring LOL.

Thank you my friend. Yes, they are very similiar, a few differences, but the same bear-trap spring, maybe just a little less brutal. I'm very pleased I fell on this knife, and the others I bought, 60 years old, but they're like new. Big and kind of ugly, but a great working knife.

Here's an old Imperial made in Providence with their "Super Razor Blade Stainless." It's a totally un-fancy, yet capable user.

My wife's grandfather probably got this as a freebie from a feed vendor that serviced the poultry farm he owned. It saw some pocket time, as the vendor logo is all but totally worn away and the wrap on the scales is worn at the ends. At some point, the pivot end of the knife got mashed which made the blades hard to open; a pair of pliers straightened the liners up, but pinched the hollow scales--all this explains the ugly "bolster" on the pivot end. Anyway, long story short, I find that this cheap give-away knife can't seem to stay out of my pocket. It takes and keeps a decent edge and the size is almost perfect for my hand. It has a hint of sentimental value and it has handled every thing I have thrown in its way.

Wow, that was wordy.
