What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful Wee Lamb, Jack. 🤠
I almost thought it was Saturday with all the nice looking stag being posted today.
Thanks a lot John :)
Usual Lamb for Wooden Wednesday
Case/Bose Norfolk for Wharncliffe Wednesday
Classy pairing buddy
Thanks, Jack; I didn't feel underestimated, but I know I sometimes have an additional perspective on things that many people don't share. 🤓🤪
You have 2 splendid stag knives there!:thumbsup::cool:
That's good Gary :D THank you my friend :)
Interesting knife!:cool::cool: I think I knew that some members of the German Richartz family moved to England and started the Richards cutlery brand, but I didn't know that BOTH branches of the family used the lamppost on their tang stamps. (I thought Richartz had a whale.)
An interesting shared history :) Richartz do use the whale, but they also used the lamppost. If it had not been for WW2, I think the two firms would have been much closer
Thanks, Todd, and I agree that the GEC 85 is a great pattern. Mine is actually a generous gift from a legendary BF member (thanks, Paul) who added an EO notch and turned the pen blade into a coping blade:

Really nice Gary :cool A generous gift too :)
Thanks, Jack & John. :) Jack, I like the Scout, but I think I can clean it up more than I have so far, but I doubt that I'll try to remove the "random serrations" in the pen blade. John, I agree with you on preferring a second blade to a file on SAKs (although for the past 6 months or more I've been using a nail file on my Minichamp to tend to a split left thumbnail - that's the nail I use in nicks 🤪 - that won't "heal").
I'm sure you can GT :) I'd also rather have an extra blade

Schrade Walden and an Albers today

Very attractive pairing Steve
Thanks Jack!!! They are a bit on the snazzy side, LOL!😁

A pair of sweet Sheffields you have today; I've seen many of the coolest tang stamps on your marvelous slicers!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Toting these two fragrant wood wearing French slicers, today. :)
Many thanks JJ :) Perfectly peppery pair there my friend  :)

Prompted by JohnDF JohnDF (in the Guardians thread), I've decided to treat myself to a Double Lambsfoot Day tomorrow :D ;) Have a good one folks

I think I've crossed the Rubicon on knife nuttery. I got a Boker Nessmi sometime ago and carried it religiously for months. I really like the knife. Does everything I need an EDC sheath knife to do. A great package that reminds me of my time spent in the Adirondacks, camping and canoeing the Fulton Chain Lakes when I was growing up, the stomping grounds of George Washington Sears (Nessmuk).

Then this Giant Mouse came along and kicked the Nessmi out of it's EDC slot. I tend to do that when I get a new knife. I really only buy knives that I can see myself carrying, for the most part. It's so similar I didn't feel like I was abandoning my Nessmuk connection.

I like both these knives!

So, today for the first time ever (I think) I'm carrying two fixed blade knives as EDC. They are very, very similar in their utility and size. You can definitely see that Jesper Voxnaes, who designed the Nessmi, had a hand in the design of the Giant Mouse. One on the belt and one in the pocket, in true knifenut style!

I’m glad that cattle knife is a regular of yours so we can see it more often, Paul.
Jeff, seeing your Old Timer muskrat is always enjoyable!:cool::thumbsup:

Always cool to see a knife someone has hung onto for a LONG time; I hope you both keep functioning joints for many more years! 🤓:thumbsup:

Love that jack, Gary! Very sensible mods.
That 77OT Improved Muskrat you noticed is indeed sweet, even moreso since it was a gift from Bruce Old Hunter Old Hunter !

I think my OT Jack’s joints are holding up better than my knees are.

Sweet SW, Steve.

Nice pairing, JB, and that canoe looks like a fine knife.

Congrats on the new canoe, JB; both the Beer Barrel canoe and the Dixie Stockman look superb!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you, Greg and Gary. I am pleased with the Boker canoe and the Dixie Stockman is a nice partner. I appreciate the canoe info you provided before I purchased it, GT.

Bruce, that Buck is a very cool variation on the muskrat (or moose?) pattern!
Thanks, I think Buck got that one right (Hawbaker Muskrats are nice too for the same reason).
Doesn't get much more "Traditional Pocket Knife" than that. 🤠
Thanks John (and I agree - not much you would need a pocketknife for that a Medium Stockman can’t do.)

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund - sure glad the OT Muskrat is doing you well.
