What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

As you can see from this cell pic it has been some of the ugliest lighting this week. The most muted ill light I have seen in a while. I could not bounce light or make shadows so I just dropped it all and called it a day.

With that said, here is what I carried today

Ha! That's a neat setup you got there Kevin, mine is very similar, but I rarely take the tripod out and have never tried to bounce light, gonna have to try that out sometime :)

Edit: here is a cell pic of what's keeping me company today

Brett, that coffin jack looks mighty fine. I wanted one before they came out. After they did, I just didn't get around to picking one up.

Thanks, Ed! Not too late to pick one up if you have the ways and means. I must admit, however, that an excellent alternative is the GEC #15 Huckleberry. The fit & finish is pretty much on par, imo. Only real difference is in the materials used and a few aesthetic flairs (man oh man, the peachseed jigging on the Coffin Jack is absolutely stunning!) Both are fantastic pocket companions!

Thanks Vic, nice carry you have today! You will enjoy bouncing light around when there is enough to do so :)

(If I remember,) I like to use the last knife in to open the box of the next one.

I carried this one today, to do the honors:

(Just really noticed that back blade etch. We won't be seeing that again. ;))

Those "Cannon" clones of the Ankermesser have been around for a while, and are very inexpensive, but the real deal costs so little and is easy to find... No idea why someone would buy the Chinese junk copies.

I had fully intended to get one of those when it was announced what the pattern would be, but it just never happened. I did get a Winchester coffin jack before the Case/Bose collab was available. I like the pattern and your's looks fabulous.

I see Case will be bringing out Tony's 3-1/2" wharncliffe trapper pattern this year. I've got to figure out a way to get one of them.

^ That's some good-lookin' stag there, P! Knice knife!

Thanks! It lacks some of the coloration I like in my only other stag-handled knife (I'll get a picture of the two together soon), but has other pleasing attributes of its own. Including my birthday/date:

Sometimes, I am such a soft touch.... Sigh.

(Happy Sigh. Heh.)

looks like coralberry there in the background. nice!

Ah, so that's what it is? Thanks! I've been wondering. I'm hoping to watch it more carefully through the coming year of seasons, now that it's caught my attention.
