What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

‘81 Schrade SC503. Bought it new from Cutlery World when I was a kid; the second ”real” knife I ever had.

I always enjoy seeing your Cardinals memorabilia, Jon. 🙂 I’ve been a fan my entire life, but I only have a few items here and there, and I don’t think I’ve owned a baseball card since I was a kid.

Here’s me at my first Cardinals game, at the old Busch Stadium. (That would’ve been 1985, so odds are Ozzie Smith was playing that day.)
Thanks. I’m a huge baseball fan. That’s quite the combo in your picture. Just saw that Yadi signed for another year so I’m hoping to go to their spring training next year.
Looks like you and I are both ‘85 babies. Pretty good year for the Cards.
Great looking knife Jon! Well…okay…I guess the banner is pretty cool also!
😉😄👍
Haha. Thanks. It’s kind for funny I have a Chiefs Kingdom flag hanging in my office when I am the Chief in my department.

Got something very cool in the mail today. Over the weekend I was browsing a relatively smaller dealer's website that I've purchased stuff from in the past. They carry mostly modern and customized production pieces, but they do get classic stuff in every now and then. They don't even have a GEC section, but on a whim I decided to type "Great Eastern Cutlery" into the search bar and this popped up.

GEC Acorn Shield #73 from 2006, the year they first started producing knives. This is #89 of 250. It didn't come with the tube but as far as I can tell it's new or barely carried. For a 15 year old piece it's in amazing condition. I kind of can't believe it's actually sitting on my desk right now.
